I presented this message at a small church in Adelaide in 2013. It has just now been posted on the web, and the message is still relevant as ever. In fact, for believers this message daily becomes more relevant as the foundations of the Christian faith are being ‘white-anted’ (eroded) from beneath through the pagan teachings of the big bang origin of the Universe and evolution. That non-biblical worldview has slowly (over the past 150 years) been accepted into the church as true science. The message is ‘the authority of man’s science above the authority of God’s Words.‘ Believers beware of this poison! It is destroying faith and causing many to doubt. But a true understanding of God’s Words and how science fits into the Bible helps us understand the world around us and even answers questions like, if God is a good, merciful and compassionate God, then why is there death and suffering in the world? Someone writes a book, or develops a theory (or even just presents some speculation), and then a believer in a church uses that information and says something like,
“The YEC position is true and here’s the proof! You are crazy if you can’t believe it because we have this evidence.”
Sadly, sometimes I hear this sort of thing. Folks it just should not happen. And a person who hears it might react, complaining with,
“A (creation ministry) speaker filled their heads with stuff, which isn’t true about the YEC interpretation of the Bible.”
Well that’s how the recipient may have understood the attack on his belief system, which was obviously not a biblical creationist one. Maybe he believes in theistic evolution or big bang or both. (I am not supporting those inconsistent interpretations, but I am talking about our approach.) This sort of thing has led to a division in the fellowship. Some even claim that the whole subject of biblical creation is divisive. That is not what I am talking about, but rather how some well-meaning people use speculations and theories like clubs trying to win an argument, when they should be categorized only as man’s attempts at a solution to a biblical creationist problem. The rise of Islam in the West
I see this as the Lord’s doing, the same way He sent the Babylonians to carry away Israel into captivity (Jeremiah 29:1-14) or the way He used the Assyrians (Isaiah 10:5) to chastise Israel for her sins. This time the chastisement is to the Christian Church (spiritually Israel) and again to the chosen people, the Jews, wherever they may be. I believe the Lord Jesus will come again and restore His assembly of believers, whether they be Jews or Gentiles. And the Lord will Himself judge those who disobey His laws and murder innocent people. Continue reading
On Friday June 6th, I presented a lecture at the University of Adelaide entitled “8 Reasons Why Evolution is Foolish” to an audience of about 55, filling about half of the seating in a small lecture theatre. I spoke on the topic for about 60 minutes presenting my 8 reasons via 8 questions which, so far, have not been answered by evolutionists. Following the lecture we had about 40 minutes of Q&A. The video of the lecture is here.
There were about 10 members of some atheist club, who peppered themselves through the audience. After the event one guy identified himself as president of some atheist club, so it is clear they came with an action plan. I had been forewarned that something like this might happen as one contact told me that there had been a lot of activity on a university-connected FB page about this event. But their arguments and the questions they put to me in the Q&A were a total failure.

Contrary to the introduction on the website my work on ultra-precise clocks, is not with nuclear (or even atomic) clocks, but classical clocks made from a single crystal of sapphire cooled to near 6 K. They are in fact the most stable clocks on earth, currently.
A response to “A Response to Four Young-Earth Objections to Inflation” 1
Astrophysicist Dr Jeff Zweerink works for the Hugh-Ross-led organization Reasons to Believe. He recently wrote the above article. Relevant portions of his words are reproduced (in green) with my comments interspersed.
A remarkable correspondence exists between inflationary big bang cosmology and the Bible’s accounts of the universe’s origin. [emphasis added]
This is his summary statement which one assumes he will provide support for in the substance of his article. But if you look deeply into the details the substance evaporates. Continue reading
6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. Psalms 33:6-9 [emphasis added]
The Creator, Jehovah, spoke the Universe into existence. The ‘host’ of heaven are the stars, which He knows all by their individual names.
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Psalms 147:4
It was not the big bang that spontaneously created the Universe out of nothing. It was the mind of the Intelligent One who spoke the Universe into existence. He created the solar system and the planet Earth with all that was necessary to support life. Continue reading
