Three books worth taking the time to read

Over the past two months I have read a few excellent books, which I recommend to you. Of the three, my top choice read is Jerry 10-2-601_8Bergman’s book “Hitler and  the Nazi Darwinian Worldview” (Joshua Press)

How the Nazi eugenic crusade for a superior race caused the greatest Holocaust in world history.

This book takes a fresh look at Germany’s most influential Nazi leaders, examining their backgrounds, education and convictions. It provides compelling evidence that the rising influence of Darwinism, eugenics and race theory in early twentieth-century society set the foundation for the Nazi pursuit of engineering a German “master race”—and exterminating European Jews, Gypsies, Blacks, most Slavs and the Christian religion in the ensuing madness of the Holocaust of World War II.

The effect of social Darwinism, eugenics and anti-Semitism, and their relative acceptance in the scientific and medical communities of Germany and many other countries worldwide, opened the door to mass murder, medical experimentation and military conquest. This title examines the roots of Nazi ideology and unmasks the Darwinian “survival of the fittest” theory behind it.

A review is found here

For a long time there has been speculation about Adolf Hitler’s alleged Jewish ancestry. On page 53 Bergman writes in regards to this:

Genetic research indicates the possibility that Hitler had Jewish background, which makes his inferiority concerns somewhat ironic. … Geneticists identified groups of genes called haplogroups that define populations. Hitler’s dominant haplogroup, E1b1b, is relatively rare in Western Europe, but between 50 to 80 per cent of North Africans share Hitler’s dominant group, which is especially prevalent among in (sic) the Berber tribes of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Somalia. Hitler’s second most dominant haplogroup is the most common in Ashkenazi Jews.  “The findings are fascinating if you look at them in terms of the Nazi worldview, which ascribed such an extreme priority to notions of blood and race. This pure type of ‘superman’ and the [Nazi] breeding programs to perfect ‘purity’ were sheer fabrications.” (The author cites Haaretz Service, “DNA test reveal Hitler’s Jewish and African roots,” Jewish World (August 4, 2010): 1.) The Bible is still relevant in this age of Science!

IBRIAS title

I presented this message at a small church in Adelaide in 2013. It has just now been posted on the web, and the message is still relevant as ever. In fact, for believers this message daily becomes more relevant as the foundations of the Christian faith are being ‘white-anted’ (eroded) from beneath through the pagan teachings of the big bang origin of the Universe and evolution. That non-biblical worldview has slowly (over the past 150 years) been accepted into the church as true science. The message is ‘the authority of man’s science above the authority of God’s Words.‘ Believers beware of this poison! It is destroying faith and causing many to doubt. But a true understanding of God’s Words and how science fits into the Bible helps us understand the world around us and even answers questions like, if God is a good, merciful and compassionate God, then why is there death and suffering in the world? Cancer in our society VI: Europe’s moral and spiritual vacuum invites acts of terrorism

Iben Thranholm

Danish journalist Iben Thranholm

This article is reposted from RT.com. It is a November 23rd, 2015, article titled Europe’s moral and spiritual vacuum invites acts of terrorism by Iben Thranholm a Danish journalist who examines political and social events with focus on their religious aspects, significance and moral implications. She is one of Denmark’s most widely read columnists on such matters.

Europe’s moral and spiritual vacuum invites acts of terrorism

by Iben Thranholm

These days the media are overflowing with comments and analyses of last Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris. One particular angle is consistently ignored – or banished: religion.

This is a curious omission since the terrorists themselves issue statements that indicate that religion is their motivation.

The statement in which IS accepts responsibility for the attacks in Paris is made in the name of Allah and the killings are referred to as “a blessed battle whose causes of success were enabled by Allah”. It states that Paris was targeted because it is “a capital of prostitution and vice” and “the lead carrier of the cross in Europe.”ISIS claim responsibility

IS is consistently referring to the Parisians as “crusaders” – the audience at the Bataclan, however, are called “pagans gathered for a concert of prostitution and vice.” The statement closes with a terror threat to strike those who “dare to curse the Prophet and boasts about their war against Islam”.

A further look at the character of the attacks reveals with ever-increasing clarity their symbolic significance. They were carried out on a Friday, the Muslim holiday. The victims at the Bataclan were listening to music, which is banned in fundamentalistic Islam, and the first targets to be shot were guests at the bar drinking alcohol. The symbolism assumed a new dimension when the perpetrators started firing on the audience of a performance by the band ‘Eagles of Death Metal’ of its popular tune “Kiss the Devil”.

A series of images taken moments before the massacre started, members of the audience are seen making the hand sign used for devil worship, their index and little finger lifted in preparation for singing along with the lurid lyrics: Continue reading

‘Sacred’ the Film

Georgia with her script

Georgia with her script

Recently I had the pleasure to meet and talk with a very passionate young Christian lady, Georgia, who has written a story called “Sacred“. It is a story about the sacredness of human life regardless of where it comes from or how it is conceived. She is so passionate about this she has thrown herself into it with other like-minded souls to make this full length feature film—a dramatised saga of the events in the life of young 16-year old girl called Jade. And Georgia, and her crew, are doing it on the back of the “smell of an oily rag.” All actors are trained actors but volunteers; the support staff are all volunteering their time. But they need support. These sort of films need money for non-labour costs that are only provisioned that way. I asked Georgia how she supports herself, and she said she works in MacDonald’s. Like the Apostle Paul she is ‘tent making’ but there are significant production costs.  It is a film designed to change lives—to change the culture. Continue reading

Two challenges to the infallibility of the Holy Scriptures

Figure 3: Charles Darwin developed the idea of the general theory of evolution, which Smolin has copied by analogy.

Charles Darwin developed the idea of the general theory of evolution.

Charles Darwin published his “On Origin of Species” in 1859, which began a major attack on the veracity of the Word of God. Darwin’s message essentially was an attack on the true history in Genesis, even the actual historicity of the Genesis account of creation and the events that followed shortly thereafter. That ultimately means it was a challenge to the trustworthiness of the Bible.  Since that time we have seen a rapid decline of faith in the veracity and authority of God’s Word, starting with Genesis. The visible church has fallen in great apostasy.

Here when I write of God’s Words and their veracity and infallibility I refer to the God breathed Words in the original autographs, which for the New Testament were largely written in the ancient Greek vernacular.

Bishop Brooke Foss Westcott and Professor Fenton John Anthony Hort were conservative, Anglican (Church of England), scholars who produced a new Greek New Testament based on the Alexandrian codices (uncial books), mostly Vaticanus B and Sinaiticus ℵ (Aleph), which are believed by many to be among the oldest extant Greek texts. But age does not guarantee purity of a form closest to the original. Continue reading

Cancer in our society V: What would Muhammad do?

The question is often asked of Christians: What would Jesus do? This is often in hypothetical situations. It is often used frivolously, even in advertising. For example, this image (right) was used in a discussion on health insurance in the USA.

But often times this question is posed to trip up the believer with some difficult, or apparently difficult situation. Jesus himself was presented with many difficult problems by those who tried to trap him during His earthly ministry.

One such situation is the case of the woman caught in adultery (John 8:1-11).   The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman to him who was caught in the very act of adultery. (I don’t know why they didn’t bring the man also.) They challenged Jesus with:

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?  This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. (John 8:5,6)

Jesus knowing their hearts, he could see their sin, said:

… He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (John 8:7)

Lucifer and Masonic doctrine

Who do you know who is a member of the Freemasons? Some claim Billy Graham is a 33rd Degree Mason. Certainly, there is a lot of mystery about who’s a Mason and what their beliefs are. Their society is based on utter secrecy so that comes as no surprise.

According to this list the following are but a few who were 33rd Degree: Buzz Aldrin (second man on the moon with Neil Armstrong), PLO leader Yasser Arafat (Muslim), UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Rev. William Booth (Salvation Army), Werner von Braun (a Christian), President Jimmy Carter (a Christian), Sir Winston Churchill, Kenneth Copeland (a Christian), Walt. Disney, last leader of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, US Vice President Al Gore, Rev. Billy Graham (a Christian evangelist), Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Rev. Jesse Jackson (a Christian), Vladimir Lenin, Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Karl Marx, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Ronald Reagan, Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder, Rev. Robert Schuller (a Christian), Rev. Al Sharpton (a Christian), the first President of Israel Chaim Weizmann, H.G. Wells (science fiction author and atheist), William Wynn Westcott (occultist, founding member of the occult Order of the Golden Dawn).  Some say that only 2 US presidents were not Masons, or associated with affiliate bodies. They are Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. But according to one blogger none after Gerald Ford were.1  He disputes that George Bush was. Another claims that there is no direct evidence that Barack Obama is a Freemason.2 Then according to this list there are those of British Royalty, Prince Phillip; of the Roman Catholic Church, Father Francisco Calvo, Jesuit Catholic priest who started Freemasonry in Costa Rica; Joseph Smith, founder of the cultic Mormon church, Brigham Young, their 2nd leader; Louis Farrakhan (Muslim), leader of the Nation Of Islam; and Geoffrey Fisher (Anglican), the Archbishop of Canterbury 1945-1961. But the US 6th president famously said

“Freemasonry is deceptive and fraudulent…Its promise is light—its performance is darkness” John Quincy Adams (a devout Christian)
