Bethlehem, the place of the Lord’s birth, is now a police state

The people in Palestine are living stones with which the Lord Jesus Christ is using to build His spiritual house. That is, when they are filled with the love of God. So are all the Lord’s children regardless of their ethnicity. That includes faithful Jews and faithful Arabs.

4 [The Lord] To whom coming, as to a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 You also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Why also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believes on Him [Jesus Christ] shall not be confounded. 7 To you therefore which believe He is precious: but to them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

1 Peter 2:4-8

Christ is building His house of living stones. I particularly like word used in the AKJV to describe them — ‘lively’ stones.

Why are the Palestinian Arabs who love the Lord largely ignored in descriptions of Israel? They seem to be forgotten and yet their ancestry goes back hundreds if not more than a thousand years.

Watch this documentary and listen to some of those Arab believers.

The scripture above tells us the Jesus Christ is the foundational stone in His new building, a spiritual house called Zion. Jesus is a stone the Jews stumble over, a rock of offense, rejected by most Jews, even hated by them. That is because of their disobedience to their God.

It is worth noting that there is not a single scripture in the New Testament that equates Zion to the political state of Israel. And most Jews in Israel today are atheists.

Jesus commandment is to love your enemies. It is the method adopted by the believing Arabs in the occupied territories of Palestine even though they are subjected to police state controls in their own land. They show that they are the Lord’s children by loving their enemies as Christ commanded.

27 But I say to you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which spitefully use you.

Luke 6:27-28

35 But love you your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be you therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Luke 6:35-36

Who are Zion? And who is the precious cornerstone?

True Zion is the building of lively stones. It is a spiritual house not a political state. And Jesus Christ is the chief cornerstone, precious to all who believe. He is foundational to this new house which He has been building since the cross. There is no other Zion.

Any claim that the nation state of Israel today is Zion omits to recognize what Christ did on the cross. It is a Satanic imitation of the truth of God. A fake representation. A fleshly imitation of the spiritual house God is building in the hearts of men regardless of their ethnicity.

Western Christian Zionists claim that the current political Zionist state of Israel is God’s chosen nation. But Christ has no physical kingdom on Earth (John 18:36) and, as stated above, Zion is a spiritual house of holy priests. Therefore the so-called Christian Zionists are deluded by a Satanic doctrine contrary to the scriptures they claim to believe in.

once again despite there being much of value in this article and despite your formidable IQ you end up in contradictions. Maybe it’s true that Zion is never equated with the political state of Israel but at least it’s equated with the physical earthly geographic Jerusalem eg Isaiah 2:3 . The irony of you quoting Peter is that Paul in no ambiguous language tells us that Peter’s ministry was to the Jews and here in 1 Peter he explicitly addresses himself to “the elect exiles of the dispersion”(1:1,17 and uses language in 2:9 utterly foreign to the apostle and teacher of the gentiles (Paul) but totally applicable to Jews derived as it is from the ot.

    1. No scripture in the NT equates Zion to a physical place. From the cross Christ gave us His new covenant. He is building His new Jerusalem in the hearts of the believers whoever they are. Old Jerusalem is the old covenant now dead in works, but new Jerusalem is His bride made alive in the new covenant by grace.

21 Tell me, the ones desiring to be under Law, do you not hear the Law? 22 For it is written, Abraham had two sons, one out of the slave woman and one out of the free woman. 23 But, indeed, the one of the slave woman has been born according to flesh, and the one out of the free woman through the promise, 24 which things are being allegorized, for these are two covenants, one, indeed, from Mount Sinai bringing forth to slavery (which is Hagar, 25 for Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present [old] Jerusalem, and she slaves with her children), 26 but the Jerusalem from above is free, who is the mother of us all; 27 for it is written, “Rejoice, barren one not bearing; break forth and shout, the one not travailing; for more are the children of the desolate rather than she having the husband.” Galatians 4:21-27 KJ3
