My painting “Jabalya” asks for compassion, mercy, and peace for the Palestinian women and children who have suffered terribly in the Gaza war. Where is the humanity? Where is the compassion?
I have just submitted this painting to a local art exhibition, with the following Artist Statement:
Jabalya in Gaza is representative of what the Gaza war really looks like with 2,000 pound bombs dropping on civilians. Currently about 60,000 Palestinians have died in the war, mostly women and children. The Lancet medical journal says there are at least 200,000 total casualties; many are still unaccounted for under the rubble. 80% of the country has been decimated, 100% of the population displaced and 50% of the deaths children. Palestinians need mercy, compassion and peace, not war and more colonialism! They need food, water, blankets and shelter. They are humans too!
In light of the Australian Criminal Code Amendment (Hate Crimes) Bill 2025 (Cth), which amends the existing hate crime provisions in the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth), I am writing this to explicitly state that my painting in no way implies hating on anyone or any ethnic group nor does it encourage any violence against anyone, whether Israeli or Palestinian.
I call for peace, mercy and compassion. Palestinians are humans too! War never achieves anything except more war and violence.
War is a tool of Satan for global depopulation as described by the red horse in the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse.
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given to him a great sword.

The red horse followed the white horse where the horseman carried a battle bow. The battle bow was used with poison-tipped arrows, which in today’s theatre of war describes toxic poison-filled syringes of the so-called COVID vaccines.
2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a [battle] bow; and a crown was given to him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
Revelation 6:4 AKJV
Already 17 million died from that wave of attack, and millions from have died in the most recent wars in Gaza and Ukraine.
Those responsible on Earth will be held accountable as God is a righteous judge and He promised to avenge the innocent.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, said the Lord. 20 Therefore if your enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12: 19-21 AKJV
The message is clear. Have love and compassion, even on your enemies. This is what the Lord teaches. There is no need to drop 2,000 pound bombs on the Gazan people but there is a great need to give them food and water, the necessities of life. Give them the humanitarian relief which they need to survive in this world. And let God be the judge of who is righteous and who is unrighteous.
To those who believe all Palestinians to be evil terrorists why not follow the Lord’s directions here and “overcome evil with good”?
