US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, an evangelical Christian Zionist, told a gathering of Jewish Israeli leaders, the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, a rabid Christian Zionist, and wealthy Zionist Jews that the Jews are God’s chosen people and they are the foundation of all morality.

But nothing could be further from the truth!
On the chosen people issue: God chose Abraham from which He promised to bring many nations but one special nation in particular, His peculiar people, those who trust in Jesus Christ.
9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

These “holy nation” people are not modern-day Israeli Jews who are largely atheists. However there is a small cohort of Christ believing Jews in Israel, who numbered about 20,000 when I was there last in 2016.
God promised to bless Abraham (Genesis 12:3) and that blessing was that he would be the ancestor to Jesus Christ. Christ would then bless all people who put their trust in Him.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He said not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to your seed, which is Christ.

26 For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek [non-Jew], there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you be Christ’s, then are you Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

If you trust in Jesus Christ you are a part of the chosen people of God, also called in the scripture the Israel of God. They are a holy nation but not a political kingdom on Earth, and certainly not the godless Jewish state.
Satan always tries to rob Jesus of His glory. And this is no different. The Western evangelical churches have been deceived by Satan to believe that the largely atheist Zionists in Israel are somehow God’s chosen people. But the scripture is very clear.
34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: 35 But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.
Acts 10:34-35 AKJV
God sees no race in anyone. God sees and treats all people alike. Only through Jesus Christ can you be saved, redeemed and a citizen of New Jerusalem, God’s heavenly kingdom.
Ethnic Jews, whatever that means, are not God’s chosen people, anymore than Irish, Chinese, English or Arabic people are. Most Zionist Jews who colonised Palestine in the last 100 years are from Europe and the US. They are largely Ashkenazi Jews who, as the name suggests, are descendants of Ashkenaz, who was the grandson of Japheth. And not from Shem, so they are not even Semitic.
On the second point of the Jews being the source of all morality is truly mindboggling.
The basis of the Christian culture in the Western world started with the law given by God to Moses on mount Sinai. The law comprise 613 laws and rules to live by. The most important ones are those which many of us were taught in elementary school — the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:1-17).
The Jewish Torah is the Hebrew record of the first 5 books of Moses and two of those books record these 10 Commandments and the rest of the law. But that is not what the religious Jews live by. They follow their traditions as found in the Babylonian Talmud and Halakhic law. Those are rabbinical interpretations of the Laws given to Moses. In those rabbinical pronouncements you will find every corruption and evil interpretation possible. To say it provides a morality is a hideous reversal of the truth.
But ask yourself this question. Is modern day Israel keeping those laws of Moses, even just the first 10 Commandments? Let’s just look at only 5 of them here.
Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me.
Most Zionist Jews are atheists. But in reality since the Jews rejected Jesus 2,000 years ago, their god has been Satan. Jesus told them so (John 8:44).
Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.
By their own admission (IDF numbers) they have already killed (murdered) 90,000 Gazan Palestinians in the last 2 years. It is murder for the most part because most of them are women and children who are non-combatants. IDF snipers have bragged about intentionally targeting children and celebrating their kills. But it didn’t start in Gaza on Oct 7, 2023.
Exodus 20:15 You shall not steal.
The Zionists do nothing but steal land, houses and wealth from the Arabs of Palestine and they have been doing that since at least the 1930’s. In particular they ramped that up at the 1948 Nakba. Now the plan is to take all of Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Netanyahu has stated very clearly that their will be no Palestinian state.
He gave a warning to the whole world after the recognition of Palestine: “There will be NO Palestinian state west of the Jordan”
He promises to aggressively expand the illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory
“We have doubled the Jewish settlement in Judea and Samaria (West Bank – Palestine ) – and we will continue on this path”
Exodus 20:16 You shall not bear false witness (lie) to your neighbor.
The Israeli’s are masters at lying. At the 1948 Nakba they told the Arab Palestinians that they could come back later. Not true. They always spoke of a “two state solution” wherein Palestine would be established on the 1967 borders as agreed at the UN. But there was never in truth a real plan for a Palestinian state.

Exodus 20:17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, wife, servants, animals, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.
They move European and US Zionist Jewish settlers into Palestinian homes in the West Bank and East Jerusalem all the time, stealing their property. They certainly covet all Palestinian land, houses, animals, orchards as they confiscate (steal) them from the Arabs who have lived on the land for many generations, maybe thousands of years.
But true biblical morality comes from Jesus Christ the Son of God. It is found in the New Testament, and not in the Old Testament, which Jesus Christ replaced with His sacrifice on the cross.
In Matthew chapter 5 we read the sermon Jesus gave His disciples. There is no mention of murder, theft or lying.
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
In fact, Jesus says that the peacemakers shall be called the children of God. They are not the colonialist power of the atheistic militarised Zionist state in their covetous plan of the Greater Israel project, by which they intend conquer all the neighbouring countries around Palestine including all of Palestine.
