In the beginning of the world the archangel Satan, the bearer of the light, God’s top general in His army of angels, rebelled against his Creator. Ever since he has been waging war against God, desiring to be God. He cannot create and so he only can imitate, and influence mankind with his lies.
His biggest lie is that there is no God. There is no Creator. As a corollary to that he has promoted the view that life spontaneous arose on Earth billions of years ago from a pool of organic molecules. Unaided abiogenesis somehow occurred! It was abiotic; nonliving chemicals gave rise to life.
In 2006 I was working in a research lab in Tsukuba, Japan. On one occasion the research establishment was visited by molecular biologist and Nobel Laureate Sidney Altman who shared the 1989 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on the enzymatic activity, the catalytic properties of RNA. This was exciting news that was hoped would lead to an RNA-world approach to solve the intractable problem of how did the first living organism arise naturally from organic chemicals alone.
I attended the lecture he gave then and in the Q&A session I asked him “How do you get from non-living chemicals to the RNA molecules upon which you believe ‘life’ was built?” After taking a good 10 minutes to explain how absolutely difficult it is to synthesize biomolecules in the lab he ended by saying that he had no idea. And that was not even life itself but just the RNA molecules that allegedly held the coded information for life.
Consider the actual creation of life on Earth by the Creator. Supernaturally He spoke and it was done. God’s words contained the essential information that brought life to organic molecules on Earth. Ex nihilo — out of nothing! He created all plants, animals, birds and marine life. His prize creation was mankind, starting with the first man Adam and then his wife Eve.
No Darwinian evolution was involved. Evolution is another of Satan’s lies.
All of Satan’s ideas/lies are useless imitations of the works of God. But in some form they imitate the truth. Instead of the divine information from the Mind of God Satan has deceived humans into believing that a spontaneous random assemblage of information occurred that coded for life. And though he believed that, the acclaimed molecular biologist Sidney Altman could not explain how it occurred.
Instead of believing in the Creator as the true Source of all truth and life mankind largely believes in his own creation, a Satanic lie. Humans mostly now believe in false gods who cannot create or the universe as the source of creation.
Due to the insuperable problems for the naturalistic origin of life the atheistic misotheistic science community will grasp at any straw to hang their hopes on. And straws they are.
Satan long ago realised that if no explanation for the origin of life could be found on Earth then life or the information to create life must be told as coming from outside the Earth. Not from the Creator but from outer space. No creator was then needed. The source of life just beamed in from space.
The evidence from astronomical observations is that life is extremely rare. Even though with multi-decade-long research programs like Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) no evidence has ever been found. How about some microbes then? Even those are only found on Earth.
One fringe theory that is held in the astronomy community is that life permeates the universe. It is ubiquitous. And a long time ago it seeded life on Earth. This view is commonly referred to as panspermia.
Panspermia (from Ancient Greek πᾶν (pan) ‘all’ and σπέρμα (sperma) ‘seed’) is the hypothesis that life exists throughout the universe, distributed by Cosmic dust, meteoroids, asteroids, comets, and planetoids, as well as by spacecraft carrying unintended contamination by microorganisms, known as directed panspermia. The theory argues that life did not originate on Earth, but instead evolved somewhere else and seeded life as we know it. Wikipedia/Panspermia
Though this speculation is not generally held by the mainstream it gets plenty of media coverage via a plethora of books and movies. Of course all such ideas are complete fiction. Very little science is involved.
The ideas of panspermia are old but motivation for them has been the rejection of the biblical creation account in the book of Genesis when the Creator made the first man Adam from the earth. That was by supernatural power; God spoke and it was so.

But so too is the related and more mainstream hypothesis that not living organisms but the organic building-blocks of life originated from space.
Pseudo-panspermia (sometimes called soft panspermia, molecular panspermia or quasi-panspermia) is a well-supported hypothesis for a stage in the origin of life. The theory first asserts that many of the small organic molecules used for life originated in space (for example, being incorporated in the solar nebula, from which the planets condensed). It continues that these organic molecules were distributed to planetary surfaces, where life then emerged on Earth and perhaps on other planets. Pseudo-panspermia differs from the fringe theory of panspermia, which asserts that life arrived on Earth from distant planets. Wikipedia/Pseudo-panspermia
The difference between these two hypotheses is that it was not life that came in from outer space but only the building blocks of life, the biomolecules upon which life is built. They were carried to the Earth during its early Hadean Era after cooling from hot magna as the solar system formed 4 billion years ago. Of course that is all science fiction also.
The claim above of being well-supported can only mean that we observe organic molecules in space. But those molecules are not life. And there exists a massive chasm between them and a living organism.
Then there is a different angle to this story also portrayed in movies. That is, instead of coded DNA molecules landing on Earth from which some hideous lifeform arises, only an intelligent signal transmission is received at some Earth-based telescope station. One example of this is the 1995 film Species.

During the SETI program, Earth’s scientists send out transmissions, such as the Arecibo message, with information about Earth and its inhabitants in the hopes of finding life beyond Earth. After receiving transmissions from an alien source on how to create limitless fuel and an alien DNA sample with instructions on how to splice it with that of humans, the scientists assume the aliens are friendly. Inspired by the second transmission, a government team led by Xavier Fitch commissions a genetic experiment meant to create a female alien/human hybrid organism under the belief that she would have “more docile and controllable” traits. They eventually produce a girl codenamed “Sil”, who initially resembles a normal human and develops into a 12-year-old in three months. Wikipedia/Species
This type of transmission has never been received. Of course! It remains total science fiction. But astronomers are tuned in to receive such deceptions. The famous Wow! signal is one example (see below). It turned out to be of a natural source. Then there was the detection of the output from the microwave oven at a large telescope ground station. Well, that one was from intelligent life, but not from space.
All scientific theories on the origin of life on Earth, and there are very few, are untestable. But the idea that the coded information for life could be transmitted through space is the most untestable of all.
Information cannot come about by random processes. So where does the information for life come from? It must come from an intelligent mind.

Atheist astrophysicist Fred Hoyle’s 1957 science fiction novel The Black Cloud tells the story of an enormous, intelligent gaseous cloud approaching the Solar System from interstellar space.
I remember reading the book as a high school student back in the 1960s. As the story goes, the black cloud, initially detected by a Norwegian astronomer at Mount Palomar Observatory in California and confirmed by observations of perturbed planetary orbits, was predicted to block sunlight and cause catastrophic climate changes on Earth. The cloud eventually came to rest near the Sun, causing extreme heat followed by prolonged cold, leading to widespread death and suffering.
Despite its immense size and destructive potential, the cloud was revealed to be sentient and intelligent, capable of learning human language and mathematics through radio communication. It was portrayed as benign, even benevolent, and offered to share its vast knowledge accumulated over hundreds of millions of years.
Fred Hoyle was a believer in an eternal steady state universe. Space and sufficient time was all he needed for life to have evolved in the universe.
However, attempts to transmit the cloud’s knowledge directly to humans via a brain-reprogramming optical treatment result in the deaths of two scientists. The cloud departed after a brief stay, having communicated its warning about the dangers of overpopulation. And that was in 1957. The world is probably 3 times as populous now.
All these story-telling tales are attempts to explain life without the Creator. It was in the Mind of God that the coded information on the DNA molecules of life originated. Also that code needed the molecular material of the cells that the DNA code provided instructions to reproduce. But even that is not the end of the story.
In Fred Hoyle’s fictional story the cloud was sentient and intelligent. How could an intelligence in the distant cosmos transmit the code for some type of life as in the case of the Species movie?
Life only comes from life, and intelligence only comes from existing sentient life that contains the complexity of coded information. And no one knows how to create that other than the omniscient Creator God.
The creation of life from transmitted information only means it must have come from an intelligent mind. But it presents as an infinite regression problem.
Hypothetically suppose for a minute that that information did come from a distant sentient being, then where did that being come from? And if it was created by another sentient being out in space, where did its creator come from? And on and on we go.
I know these stories like Fred Hoyle’s book The Black Cloud and the movie Species are pure fiction. But the plethora that now exists today has led to the development of false ‘scientific’ religions, belief systems coming from science, of man’s own works.
Those religions all point to the origin of life and intelligence out in the universe. They deny the truth that life is uniquely the product of the Creator. And that it exists no where else in the universe.
