Justin Trudeau: A Renegade PM or The Future of The Commonwealth?

On May 25, the Federal Canadian Parliament voted 327 to 1 in favor of a motion committing to not holding an election “as long as this pandemic continues.” If Trudeau chooses to never declare the pandemic over, he will never leave office.

Justin Trudeau’s path to communism didn’t begin with his reign as Prime Minister of Canada on November 4, 2015. He is a child of state ownership. Whether you buy into the claims of his parentage, there is no arguing that his father, The Right Honorable Pierre Trudeau, PC, CC, CH, QC, FRSC, 15th Prime Minister of Canada (1968 – 1984), and his mother, Margaret Sinclair, were both enamored with Fidel Castro and made several trips to Embargo-era Cuba just to vista with the dictator during Pierre’s rule as PM.

But Pierre Trudeau’s love of communism began long before that:

1940: “Booted out of the Canadian Officer Training Corps (COTC) during the War for lack of discipline.” (Toronto Star, Mar. 3, 1968)

1941: Associated with anti-War and Red-supported Bloc Populaire, undermining war effort.

1945: Studied at Harvard, spawning ground of leftist intellectuals.

1947: Attended London School of Economics. Told Norman DePoe that Prof. Harold Laski, the Marxist, was “the most stimulating and powerful influence he has encountered.” (Weekend Magazine No. 13, 1966)

1950: Was in Shanghai when the Communists took over and became a rabid admirer of Mao Tse-tung and his Red regime.

1951: He launched the leftist publication Cité Libre in Montreal. Prof. Raymond Boyer (convicted of Soviet espionage in the Gouzenko Case); Stanley B. Ryerson, leading theoretician of the Communist Party and editor of Marxist Review; Pierre Gelinas, Quebec director of Agitation & Propaganda (“Agitprop”) of the Communist Party were among the well-known Reds who collaborated.

1952: He led the delegation of Communists to the Moscow Economic Conference.

1953: He was barred entry into the USA as an “inadmissible” person.

1955: He launched Le Rassemblement, a leftist “united front” rally in Quebec, but the CCF refused to join because it was too leftist.

1960: He led a Communist delegation to Peking for Red victory celebration.

1961: Social Purpose for Canada, the socialist handbook written by Marxist and NDP leaders, was published, containing a chapter by Mr. Trudeau in which he lauds Mao Tse-tung, urges socialists not to “water down” their socialism but to make its approach more “flexible,” and to welcome federalism “as a valuable tool which permits dynamic parties to plant socialist governments in certain provinces, from which the seed of radicalism can slowly spread.”

1962: Amidst protests, this millionaire leftist succeeded in gaining appointment as a professor at University of Montreal, which became a pro-Castro stronghold. Appointed to executive of Red-line Canadian Peace Research institute.

1963: Campaigned with NDP against Liberals, whom he called “idiots” because they had decided to accept nuclear defense weapons.

1965: Having decided to use the Liberal Party as an instrument to propel himself to political power, he and leftists Jean Marchand and Gérard Pelletier became ‘Liberals’ and were elected to Parliament, where they formed the “New Guard” of the Liberal Party.

1966: Appointed Parliamentary Secretary to P.M. Lester Pearson.

1967: Named Minister of Justice. Credited in Communist press with intervening personally to reinstate hippie rag Georgia Straight, which had been banned by Vancouver Mayor Campbell for obscenity.¹

Like Father, Like Son…

In 2014, when Justin Trudeau was asked which nation’s type of government he most admired besides Canada’s, he plainly and unabashedly stated, China’s. And now as the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau is acting like a dictator. Speaking frankly at a ladies’ night fund raiser in Toronto he shamelessly shares his thoughts with a room full of swooning women: “There’s a level of admiration I have for China, because they’re basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime.” Adding that democracy is frustrating because it doesn’t allow prime ministers to do what they want.²

But just because he can’t claim to be the dictator of a communist country – yet – doesn’t mean that he hasn’t learned how to rule like one. In a speech to a room full of enamored guests, Trudeau stated how he controls the Canadian media. “You know, sometimes you hear about liberal bias in the media these days. Constantly letting our government off the hook for no good reason. Frankly, I think that’s insulting. It’s clear that they let us off the hook for a very good reason… because we paid them $600 million dollars.”³

This isn’t new to Canada. His father also knew the importance of controlling the media and the narrative. Pierre’s impact on the social stage indelibly impacted Canada’s view of the United States, through the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, as being an evil empire that recklessly risked global war by antagonizing Russia; siting, America was fighting wasteful, exploitive wars and undermining the sovereignty of nations – like Canada – that would not support its Cold War plans. Through these insidious views, he made Canada’s closest trading partner, a nation with virtually the same culture and beliefs, an aggressor to be feared. Stay away from the liberated lunatics.

Now we watch Justin Trudeau make moves to take away any lasting liberties and voice of its citizens in how Canada is run as we watch the world hurtling at breakneck speed toward ‘The Great Reset.’⁴

And So, Brother Like Brother…

Although Canada are 8,025 nautical miles away, we are walking the same path to destruction, and Australians need to be wary of the path our leadership is taking us down. (I’m looking at you, Dan Andrews.) Yes, Scott Morison may be standing against the idea of the Great Reset for now, but not so long-ago Mr. Andrews had Victorians snuggled up in bed with China under a cozy transportation doona.

Since Labor’s election victory in 2014, Mr. Andrews has made no secret of his yearning to woo China as a trade, cultural, and education partner, sending Victorian Labor MP’s over to China over 25 times between 2014 and 2018 racking up close to 1 million dollars in travel costs for the Australian taxpayer. Mr. Andrews himself has personally led four delegations to the Red Country, costing close to $300,000 for those trips alone.⁵

Further, being only the Premier of Victoria hasn’t stopped Mr. Andrews from tying the entire country to China’s US1 trillion dollar ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative. Ostensibly a global trade and infrastructure enterprise to create land corridors and sea routes in the name of mutual economic benefit and harmony. Its underlying principle: restoring glory to the Middle Kingdom through hegemony. Albeit the potential for boosting local employment was limited by China’s insistence that it supplied the workers for these projects. Also, there was great pressure to reduce tariffs, thus limiting our revenue.⁶

On March 24, 2017, Mr. Andrews locked in the agreement to co-operate with China on public-private infrastructure partnerships. The Memorandum of Understanding, which was never announced by the government, was revealed in a speech by Chinese Consul-General Zhao Jian at a Belt and Road lunch in Melbourne on May 30, 2017.²

In 2018, Mr. Andrews, interfering in foreign policy, entered a Memorandum of Understanding with China on its so-called Belt and Road Initiative that’s way outside the responsibility of a state government, and absent the security and intelligence expertise that’s commonplace in Canberra.⁷

This was followed by a framework that established a working group, with an aim to get a roadmap on the partnership opportunities between China and Victoria agreed upon by the middle of 2020.

In March 2021, Mr. Andrews fell and apparently damaged his vertebrae and ribs and hasn’t been heard from since, aside from an odd photograph of him getting a checkup in the hospital. On 21 April 2021, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs declared under section 43 of Australia’s Foreign Relations (State and Territory Arrangements) Act 2020 that the Memorandum of Understanding and the Framework agreements between China and Australia have been cancelled and are no longer in operation. Phew, right?⁸

But is this just the calm before the storm? A reprieve and a chance for us as a nation to stand up and demand our liberties and voice be heard? Just because Mr. Andrew’s plan to turn us into China 2.0 has been temporarily interrupted doesn’t mean that we have escaped tyranny. He may be gone but he is not forgotten. Victoria has officially been in a state of emergency since March of 2020 to help enforce a 14-day lockdown. It had been extended multiple times; never lifted. As of the 2nd of June 2021, the state of emergency has been extended oner again, to the end of December. That’s 21 months of lockdown to ‘flatten the curve.’ Now it seems that the rest of the states may soon follow suit.

Once again, we need to look to our Commonwealth brothers of North America. Right now, in Canada, as of May 3, 2021, the current lockdown measures are some of the most stringent in the world. Rivaling authoritarian communist states like China and Cuba, Oxford University’s COVID-19 Government Response Tracker (OxCGRT) suggests, with a stringency score of 75.46 which is driven by school and workplace closures, gathering restrictions, stay at home orders and other measures.

In comparison, the severity of China’s lockdown measures only surpasses Canada’s by a few points, with the communist state having a stringency score of 78.24. Included in the evaluation of China’s score is a stay-at-home order which requires “total confinement” and other required restrictions on internal movement within the country.

Similarly, Cuba has a stringency score of 79.63 driven by policies such as requiring schools be closed at all levels. In Canada, civil liberties organizations have challenged a variety of public health measures including the Ontario government’s recent attempt to introduce additional police powers to ensure public health orders are being followed. Recently, the Constitutional Rights Centre launched a constitutional challenge on behalf of 19 current and retired police officers challenging a wide range of COVID-19 measures.⁹

On top of that, our government is now pushing hard for mandatory jabs and the inoculation passport. Canadian Health Minister, Patty Hajdu, says her government supports the idea of a “vaccine passport” and will come up with a form of vaccine certification to allow vaccinated Canadians to travel internationally.¹⁰

But does it stop at travel?

Here in Australia, PM Morrison had said in August of 2020, that vaccines were not going to be mandatory, but then, simultaneously, Australia’s Chief health officer, Nick Coatsworth, suggested that citizens who opt out of getting an experimental gene therapy should have their income held for ransom.¹¹

And now, as recent as May 2021, Scott Morrison insisted vaccine passports are the key to unrestricted domestic travel, despite states’ criticism. He may be from a more conservative party but he’s still talking the same type of dangerous rhetoric that Mr. Andrews and Mr. Trudeau have been barking at us.

Morrison said the vaccine passport was “A reasonable thing to work through” because of the likelihood of more localised lockdowns. “Where people have been vaccinated, then … they would have the opportunity, let’s say they happen to be in another state, then they can return home to Victoria and not be kept out of their home state, or they may be able to move into other states and territories,” the prime minister said. “I think that’s something that Australians would support, and I think it recognises the reality that states and territories, from time to time, will be making decisions which will restrict movements of Australians across the country.

“Now, I know the NSW premier would prefer that there were no restrictions, but she can make decisions in relation to NSW, but other premiers, whether it’s here in Victoria, Queensland, WA, or other places, I’m sure will continue to exercise judgments they believe to be in the best interests of their states. So, it’s a practical proposal, and I look forward to discussing it further with the premiers and chief ministers.”

So, let’s just stop for one moment and catch our breath. I know, I know, you’re saying; ‘Bill, you’re stringing together quite a few threads here. Are you sure that they make a picture?’

Unfortunately, they do; a hideous one. If you speak to anyone formerly from a communist country, they all say the same things, ‘When a country stops allowing you to speak your voice, make decisions for the good of your household over the good of the ‘people’, takes away your autonomy, begins restricting your movements – even for the good of the community – you’re losing your freedom and your democracy.

I refer you back to Canada. They are currently citing warrants for arrests of specific citizens who they assume will protest before they’ve even arrived at a protest. Pre-crime. And their police force is being encouraged to react with unnecessary brutality towards citizens peacefully protesting unlawful lockdowns. And as of this current lockdown, so have ours.

Oh, and a side note, before 2020, the term ‘Lockdown’ had only been associated with prison. Let that sink in.

So where does all this lead?

Sure, Canada is further down the communism snake hole than us, but it’s a very slippery slope. Our liberties are slowly being taken from us and we’re allowing it. Remember the cautionary words of George Orwell, “We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it.”

Closing state boarders indefinitely? A vaccination passport to travel across state lines, plugged into, say, MyGovID? Then all your private medical information plugged in, now accessible to everyone who demands it. Your banking then plugged in. Your utilities, too. Eventually your social credit score? Don’t shake your head. This is already a way of life in China, and you can bet your bottom dollar it’s coming to a free society near you.

As they say in Silicon Valley; ‘It goes slow till it goes fast.’
