While reading through some Bible passages I was reminded of a passage in Obadiah, which in the 1980s we often equated to the demise of the US. That was at a time when there was heightened tension in regards to global nuclear war between NATO and the USSR. But now it seems to me that the language used by all sides in global politics has brought us closer to World War III than ever before.
The US hegemony has expanded through military might especially post World War II. Every war since and many before were really about expansion into nations to take control of their natural assets. Right now the US military occupies parts of Syria protecting the oil well from which they steal Syrian oil and ship it to Israel. Iraq and Afghanistan were invaded under false pretexts. WMD’s were never found. The 9/11 demolition of the World Trade Towers was a CIA/Mossad operation to goad the US public into supporting war and introducing the evil Patriot Act so the government can surveil US citizens. So many lies are told. But as stated in Satan’s Last Kingdom Will Also Fail the US Empire will eventually end and that end will be in fiery judgment from God.
Through a vision to the prophet Obadiah God gave a message of judgment against Edom foretelling its destruction (Obadiah 1). Edom was a nation derived from Esau, son of Isaac, grandson of Abraham and brother to Jacob (Israel).
Esau lost his land-rights to Jacob who deceived him into exchanging them for some porridge. The nations from these two brothers, one of Arabs and one of Israelis, have been at war ever since.
Does that mean that the land of the Levant now belongs to Israel and not to the Arab people of Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria? It is not always what you think. Consider this passage for example.
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one [Ishmael] by a slave woman [Hagar] and one [Isaac] by a free woman [Sara]. 23 But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. 24 Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; 5 she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.
Galatians 4:22-26 ESV (my emphases add)
This means that the present earthly Jerusalem, representing all tribes of flesh Israel, according to the Apostle’s doctrine, is in bondage to the Old Covenant. Jerusalem is in slavery with her children the Jews. Only under the New Covenant confirmed (or strengthened) by Jesus Christ Messiah on the cross are all those who trust in Him free from bondage (Daniel 9:27). Ethnicity has no bearing on this.
Scripture may contain a message from God as Obadiah 1:1 states it does. The same spiritual message however is often true for more than just one situation, nation or people. Satan has only one bag of tricks and thus God’s solution may have wide application. So who else could this message from God be directed to?
Here is the passage with my comments interspersed and bold emphases added. Square brackets are used where I have made substitutions or clarifications.
2 Behold, I have made you [the US Empire] small among the heathen: you are greatly despised. 3 The pride of your heart has deceived you, you that dwell in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that said in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?
Obadiah 1:2-3 AKJV
This message applies to the US Empire, who lifted up in pride, has come to believe it is the only superpower in the world. Pride always goes before a fall and the US Empire is falling. It has now started World War III with the Russian federation thinking that Russia is a backward undeveloped nation and it is nothing to defeat the Russian Bear.
4 Though you exalt yourself as the eagle, and though you set your nest among the stars, there will I bring you down, said the LORD.
Obadiah 1:4 AKJV
The US empire prided itself on going to the Moon and landing the Eagle Lunar Module on Tranquility plains on July 20, 1969. The empire had set its nest amongst the stars, but from that moment God began to bring judgment upon the Satanic rulers, who we call the deep state cabal connected through Freemasonry. They are the global financial and tech giants, international Zionist banksters and military industrial complex oligarchs who rule through the US hegemony. The outpost of Israel is part and parcel of that brutal hegemony.
The fact that the deep state had already taken hold of the US was evidenced long ago by the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States, while riding in a presidential motorcade in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963. That was 61 years ago.
The CIA, Jewish mafia, Italian mafia and even FBI have been implicated as tools to stop President Kennedy from dismantling the US Federal Reserve system of private banks and their Ponzi scheme of money printing. He took on the Rothschild banksters and started to print his own US government money. He also resisted starting any new wars but if you understand that all wars are bankers wars it makes sense.
5 If thieves came to you, if plunderers came by night—how you have been destroyed!—would they not steal only enough for themselves? If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave gleanings? 6 How [the US Empire] has been pillaged, his treasures sought out!
Obadiah 1:5-6 ESV
Sucking the wealth out of the poor through the criminal mafia practice of fiat currency would be one of the biggest crimes of the last few hundred years. Printing “money out of thin air” is like the goose that laid the golden egg. The criminal Federal Reserve banksters couldn’t allow that to stop so JFK was assassinated by US deep state gangsters. His replacement, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, quickly committed to the Vietnam war and other wars that followed. The idea of scrapping the Federal Reserve was dropped.
But Israel is no friend to the US. The Satanic leaders of Israel are using the US for all they can get. They bilk the US citizens and the rest of the world through fiat US dollars and financial aid for war materiel.
7 All the men of your confederacy [in the present nation of Israel] have brought you even to the border: the men that were at peace with you have deceived you, and prevailed against you; those who eat your bread [i.e. taken billions of dollars in graft and aid] have set a trap beneath you—
you have no understanding [because they used you.]Obadiah 1:7a AKJV and 1:7b ESV
The same judgment will be exacted on the US Empire as on the nation of Edom in Obadiah’s time. And as a consequence Israel cannot survive either. When the dollar crashes it will take down all other currencies with it.
The US Dollar note says it all. On the left the Freemason pyramid with capstone of the ‘all seeing eye’. This is Satanic symbolism out of Egypt. On the right is the Great Seal with the Eagle clutching the arrows, which now may represent not only the states of the US but all nations under the control of the evil Hegemon.
The elites, the oligarchs, the deep state overlords will receive their due from our God. He will righteously judge them for their evil deeds.
8 Shall I not in that day, said the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of [the US Empire], and understanding out of [the US empire]? 9 And your mighty men, O [Israel], shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of [the US empire] may be cut off by slaughter.
Obadiah 1:8-9 AKJV
The US eagle symbol is the Bald Eagle, featured on the Great Seal of the United States. The Great Seal is a unique symbol of American national identity, used to authenticate official documents such as treaties and commissions. Only one authorized Great Seal is in official use, operated by the U.S. Department of State.
The Great Seal features three Latin phrases:
- E Pluribus Unum (“Out of many, one”): representing the unity of the states but also representing the US Empire, the hegemony.
- Annuit cœptis (“He has favored our undertakings”): acknowledging divine providence. Considering the Freemason origins the ‘divine’ agent is actually Lucifer, their god.
- Novus ordo seclorum (“A new order of the ages”): signifying the dawn of a new era, which could also be translated New World Order.
The New World Order is what the oligarchs and Zionist banksters are tying to bring about now. But God has other plans. The World Economic Forum (WEF) – UN plan is for a Great Reset which really means drastic rapid depopulation of the Earth and World War III is an essential part of the plan. But we can see from this passage all their plans will bring them no victory.
The Lord has the final Act in this Drama. It is His-story that He foresaw long ago. Judgment will come to the oligarchs and their New World Order will be destroyed.
God will give all those who seek Jesus Christ their own Great Reset. Call out to Jesus and He will reset your mind and heart if you put your trust in Him.
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, said God, I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18 And on My servants and on My handmaidens I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21 And it shall come to pass, that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.Acts 2:17-21 AKJV
In these last days God will pour out His Spirit on all those who call out to Him. He will empower His own and lead them via the Spirit. Could it be that verses 19 and 20 are describing the results of global nuclear war as we approach the last day when God judges the wicked?

Thanks for this thoughtful article. You held my interest right until your quote from Acts 2:17-21, Peter’s words. But did you take Peter’s words out of context?
By Peter saying “this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel” he was referring to the phenomena of ‘drunken people’ in Jerusalem at Pentecost. This was the fulfilment of Joel’s prophecy.
The Book of Acts goes on to describe how “your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions . . . . . I will pour out in those days of My Spirit; and they shall prophesy.” This was the inauguration of the New Covenant which we enjoy to this day with the continued pouring out of the Holy Spirit. Great!
You said “as we approach the last day . . . .” But what does the scripture mean by “the last day” or “the end”? The biblical writers meant the last days of the Jewish economy and the end of the Mosaic religious era/destruction of the temple and the second coming of the Son of Man (Mat 24:3ff).
So I believe verses 19-20 describe the imminent coming of the Son of Man in the familiar terms of judgment using non-literal expressions, common in the OT prophets (the collapsing of cosmic entities is a common motif in judgment prophecies, e.g. Isa 13:10, 19:1,24:18-20, 34;8-15, Ezek 32:7–8; Joel 2:28), rather than the results of global nuclear war.
