This is a notice to inform you that due to several health conditions my postings on Bible Science Forum will be greatly reduced at least until I can overcome those conditions. One of those conditions is that if I spend significant time in front of screens (laptop etc) my eyesight becomes quite blurry.
However, in the past week or so, I eliminated nearly all screen time and as result I did not developed any blurry eyesight. That is a relief but the cause is the computer screen needed to write and maintain this blogsite
About one year ago I had cataract surgery and lenses in both of my eyes were replaced, which greatly improved my vision. However the procedure left me with dry eyes and I have to use moisturizing eye drops. But they get sore and irritated easily. Somehow connected to that is the condition Blepharitis which the Ophthalmologist told me I had and I needed to take fish oil capsules for the Omega 3 to overcome that. I have been taking them but so far still have not eliminated the problem.
Therefore I will be minimizing screentime and that will affect what I can post on this site. I am sorry for that but if and when things change I will also change accordingly. But for now I am just pleased to not develop blurry eyesight.
Therefore I expect the number of my posts here will greatly be reduced and that they will be brief. That should reduce the time spent looking at the computer screen.
Update August 7, 2025
After visiting the optometrist today I now understand why my eyes are going blurry. I have an astigmatism caused by the corneas not being perfectly spherical and after focussing tightly at a short distance on my computer screen for a period of time, then on looking at distance it causes the focus to be misaligned. Also I have a dry eye problem as well which can make the astigmatism worse. She suggested many breaks from working on the computer and looking out into the distance to get my eyes to focus at long distance. And using the lubricating eye drops more often. Otherwise my eyes have 20/20 vision.
For the Blepharitis, which is caused blocked oil glands around the eyelids, I have found that warm Chamomile tea on a tissue helps greatly. It must unblock the ducts and sooth the eyes. It seems to be working.
Another health condition that I didn’t previously describe has been greatly improving. I have had chronic (incurable) back pain, supposed to be nerve pain, which made sitting for long periods difficult. A few months ago I changed my diet to 99% carnivore but about 5 weeks ago I also started to take black cumin seed oil and apply it to my skin (with a carrier oil) on my back where I experience the pain. In addition 2 weeks ago I started to use a TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) machine twice a day to relieve the pain. The device is also reputed to rebuild nerves. I can now report that I have had some success with these measures. Hopefully, Lord willing, these improvements will continue. I also suspect oxalates are causing me nerve damage. Update December 2, 2025
I have been able to manage my eye condition and have largely overcome that as an obstacle to maintaining this site. I also no longer need the TENS machine for back pain management so that is improving also.
If you subscribe you will receive an email when I do post. That might be a good idea as it will be less often and also December 10th is coming fast when an Australian law kicks in from which I may cut me off from all social media. I may only be able to communicate by email at that time.
