Jewish Anti-Zionist Congress | An Historic Stand Against Oppression

Jews and people of Jewish descent everywhere – those whom the Zionist state claims to speak for – are uniting to declare their unwavering opposition to Zionism. Since the First Zionist Congress over a century ago, Zionism claimed to speak on behalf of all Jews, while permanently attempting to silence opposition to its constant crimes.

The first Jewish Anti-Zionist Congress was held in Vienna, June 13-15th, 2025. Over 1,000 anti-Zionist Jews and non-Jews gathered in Vienna during three days of presentations and workshops at the Jewish anti-Zionist Congress. While this was the first event of its kind in Europe, it has already set in motion the planning for a second congress in 2026.

Joining forces with Palestinians and allies in the struggle against Zionism

The world watches in horror the unfolding genocide against the Palestinian people committed by Zionism in partnership with the West. It is our duty to take action, as this is done in our name. We must join our Palestinian brothers and sisters in their darkest hour, and work for freeing and decolonising Palestine! To achieve this just aim, we must have progressive organisations and individuals across the world with us, working against Zionist Apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide as the last devastating evidence of colonialism which must be terminated.

Since the First Zionist Congress over a century ago, Zionism claimed to speak on behalf of all Jews, while permanently attempting to silence our opposition to its constant crimes. Jewish tradition, history and culture is totally opposed to genocide.

The impressive history of Jewish resistance to Zionism is as long as Zionism – it included religious communities as well as secular movements of Jewish descent, and the vehement Jewish opposition to the creation of the Zionist state in Palestine itself.

Zionism is a crime against Judaism and the indigenous people of Palestine, and we are committed to putting an end to it. Over the years, it became clear that Zionism, instead of protecting Jews, placed them in great danger by committing atrocious acts in their name. Zionism is based on racial supremacy, adopting the very racist assumptions which are inherent to antisemitism – describing Jews as belonging to some chosen race – a notion which is fundamentally racist and which has no relation to Judaism.

The Zionist settler-colonial entity denies Palestinians their most basic rights. Zionism operates through colonialism, apartheid, ethnic-cleansing and genocide in Palestine. Even before 1948. Fourteen million Palestinians worldwide are its direct victims. To Israel we firmly declare “Not in Our Name!” We are devoted to terminating Zionism and we are devoted to the decolonisation of Palestine under Palestinian leadership!

Above all, Zionism is a crime against humanity. Dedicated to the oath of the survivors of Mauthausen concentration camp, handed down to us as testimony of resistance against Nazi fascism, we follow their universal legacy and reiterate their message:
“The permanence in the camp, lasting years, has reinforced in our minds the knowledge of the value of brotherhood among the people of all nations. True to these ideals, we make a solemn oath to continue to fight, firm and united, against imperialism and against the instigation of hatred between peoples.”

Together we will join forces at the first Jewish Anti-Zionist Congress and united we will join the Palestinians in liberating Palestine, and building a democratic, just and equal society for all!

The following are my comments:

The goals of the First Jewish Anti-Zionist Congress and their declaration highlight the fact that anti-Zionism cannot be equated to antisemitism. They are not even in the same category. Zionism is a political ideology that is racist at its core.

In this modern age the idea of building a nation where two people groups have completely different rights and one of those groups has supremely more rights than the other is the definition of Apartheid. That is exactly what South Africa was until the end of Apartheid there.

I am not ethnically Jewish but as a believer in Christ I try to follow His teachings. That makes me a spiritual Jew, a member of the true Israel of God. As a result I am qualified to say this; Christ’s teachings are non-racist, non-elitist and non-sectarian. His offer of salvation and eternal redemption is open to all people of all races. There is no privilege for ethnicity, race, colour or creed. All humans are equal in God’s eyes.

If nothing else what Jesus Christ brought to the world was the love of God for all peoples. So how can the Zionists claim they are God’s chosen people and all other people should step aside and worship them and give them everything they ask for including the already inhabited lands of Palestine? No claim 2,000 or 3,000 years old is valid when the land has been occupied since then, from the time of the Romans until the 1920s when the Zionists colonisation project began. At that time more than 90% of all Palestinians were Christian and Muslim Arabs. The number of Jews was extremely small in percentage terms.

Biblically there is no mandate to steal the land from the Palestinian Arabs and give it to the European and US Zionist Jews. “Thou shalt not steal” is one of the 10 Commandments of God recorded in the book of Exodus chapter 20.

However God does have chosen people. Jesus said so. And they are not warmongers, or genocidal killers. The following are their qualities:

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Note that this post of yours does seem to contradict your other post where you correctly state that the Balfour Declaration and the League of nations Palestine Mandate granted Palestine to the Jews. Jewish “close settlement” in a “Jewish Home”. How can the Jews/Zionists be guilty of ‘colonialism’ and ‘apartheid’ and ‘land theft’ when they were given the land by the League of Nations which had the power to make binding international law. Now, if you think Zionism is contrary to Scripture or that it seeks to avoid the reality that the land is connected with obedience then fine but these ‘anti-zionists’ are no more lovers of Jesus than most Zionists or Talmudists or, well, take your pick and their lazy acceptance of ad hoc accusations like ‘colonialism’ and ‘land theft’ are not impressive. It was the world political powers that gave the Jews the land but then panicked when they realized the full import of their decision and then rather than stick with it they’ve been selectively backtracking on their promises to the Jews ever since.

      But world political powers, be they the League of Nations or the British parliament, cannot give a land already owned by another people to whoever they choose. That is colonialism. It is the same that the British did with Australia, NZ, and the USA. But we’ve now woken up to this as imperial colonialism. We collectively do not continue to pursue it. We have given back 90% of t he land of Australia to Aboriginal People recognising that there never was “Terra Nullius”.

      Second point. The individual land and homes was stolen by Jewish terrorist actions in the land of Palestine. Families were dispossessed at the point of a gun of their homes. They were expelled enmass by armed Jewish gangs. That is the fruit of settler colonialism. But no repentance of that crime, it continues and openly brazenly today.
