The passage of the new anti-free-speech law in Australia will have a very “chilling effect” on all political discourse. Combatting Antisemitism, Hate and Extremism (Criminal and Migration Laws) Bill 2026 essentially outlaws any criticism the ruling regime, the government and its policies, parties, and people. These people!
Also criticism of Islam and its extremist ideology is banned. So too criticism of the extremist policies of the state of Israel, and the nationalistic ideology of Zionism is now illegal. They call this antisemitism, even though an Australian federal judge found that antizionism is not antisemitism. Justice Stewart said.
“That person would understand that not all Jews are Zionists and that disparagement of Zionism constitutes disparagement of a philosophy or ideology and not a race or ethnic group,”
“Also, political criticism of Israel, however inflammatory or adversarial, is not by its nature criticism of Jews in general or based on Jewish racial or ethnic identity.

Nothing on this blog can or should be construed to imply hatred or vilification of anyone of any race, nationality, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or their politics. Criticism was and is only ever intended for the policies, politics, religion, science, programs and ideas, and not for the individuals or people groups promoting or espousing those ideas. I abhor violence and do not promote, incite, condone or support it under any circumstances.
With my arguments against the satanic theological doctrine of Christian-Zionism, which the Judaizers promote, I do not call for hatred or any type of physical violence against anyone, especially the enemies of the cross of Christ. Christ taught love for your enemies and to do good to them that hate you.
From this day forth the wording “policies, politics, religion, science, programs and ideas” largely excludes the Australian government, its politics and policies. It also excludes criticism of the Jewish state of Israel, Jews in general and of Judaism and of Islam. This is now added to my disclaimer.
However, going forward, and for the avoidance of any doubt, I will no longer criticise the policies and politics of the Israeli supremacist state. Nor will I criticise the role of any Jews and Judaism in the current political state of Israel. Also I will be very careful discussing other politically sensitive subjects like Islam and Islamophobia.
In addition in order to avoid anyone being accidentally triggered, or to “feel fear or harassment” from what I have previously written many posts will be now put behind the Premium subscriber pay wall. So a reader would need to deliberately buy a Premium subscription to this blog to read those posts.
So … have I been silenced in discussions on these topics even though they relate very strongly to biblical content in relation to history, theology and politics? Where there is a will there is a way.
Also included in the new legislation is a defence section. I would argue subsection (a)(i) applies to this website and it is in the public interest.
Defences—religious, academic, educational, artistic, literary, scientific or journalistic purpose
(9) Subsection (1) does not apply to a person if a reasonable person would consider that:
(a) the conduct mentioned in paragraph (1)(a) is engaged in for a purpose that is:
(i) a religious, academic, educational, artistic, literary or scientific purpose; and
(ii) not contrary to the public interest; or(b) the conduct mentioned in paragraph (1)(a) is engaged in for the purposes of making a news report, or a current affairs report, that:
(i) is in the public interest; and
(ii) is made by a person working in a professional journalistic capacity.Note: A defendant bears an evidential burden in relation to the matters in this subsection (see subsection 13.3(3)).
However you will notice that the final note states that the burden of evidence falls upon the writer for his own defence. Guilty until proven innocent and not the usual innocent until proven guilty. So we’ll see, but the “chilling effect” is real.
We are now living in the Orwellian authoritarian state. Roll over Beethoven, tell Tchaikovsky the news, we’re back in the USSR!
