What is sin? The Genesis account tells us that it is missing the mark that God set for our original first parents, Adam and Eve. They disobeyed the Lord and ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, lost their innocence and from that moment on had a knowledge of their sin-cursed nature. Thus it is called original sin.
But most people who identify as Christians have little idea about that, instead they identify sin as thoughts and actions that go against moral rules and laws, the commandments of God or religious edicts.

The term sin originates from the Old English synn, tracing back to Proto-Germanic and Proto-Indo-European roots meaning “being” or “truly guilty,” implying a judgment of wrongdoing. Over time, different religions and cultures developed distinct understandings of sin, often shaping moral frameworks and spiritual practices. Each culture has its own interpretation of what it means to commit a sin. While sins are generally considered actions, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, amoral, selfish, shameful, harmful, or alienating might be termed “sinful.”
Any search engine will give you a list, something like this.

- A transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate.
- Deliberate disobedience to the known will of God.
- A condition of estrangement from God resulting from such disobedience.
- Something regarded as being shameful, deplorable, or utterly wrong.
The highlighted text number 3 is the closest to original sin when applied to Adam and Eve. Numbers 1, 2 and 4 are the more common belief of human sins. But these are the direct result of original sin.
The fact that Adam sinned meant all creation was cursed and that affected everything living and non-living in the universe. Adam and Eve’s rebellion had an enormous effect and that effect continues to echo through the universe.
The fact of Adam’s original sin is hardly recognised by those who claim to be believers. We know this because the vast majority of the so-called Christian church denies the historicity of Adam and Eve. So how could a couple of metaphors sin and pass that sin onto the entire human race?
Major so-called Christian denominations have taken official positions of doctrine that are in opposition to the straightforward words of God. Perhaps one of the biggest issues is their disbelief in the literal 6 x 24-hour days of creation as defined in Genesis chapter 1 and the historical account that follows through to chapter 11. That includes the origin of sin, why we need a Saviour and the young age of the Earth.
For example, if Adam and Eve were not real people (but metaphors) then their sin against God is without foundation, and it follows that there is no need of a Saviour in Jesus Christ. But there are many other teachings, many from the New Testament, that churches have made their own. Are they not deceiving the people and thereby leading them to believe in a false god? That must also be sin.
Scripture tells us that
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23 AKJV
Yet the Roman Catholic Church teaches that Christ’s earthly mother Mary was always perfectly sinless, making her equal with Jesus Christ.
All these attributes list in the left hand column are heresy to say the least. They are are all manmade doctrines that are anathema to the true nature of salvation in Jesus Christ.
6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me. 7 If you had known me, you should have known my Father also: and from now on you know him, and have seen him.

Yet the Roman Catholics elevate Mary to be equal to Christ as an agent of salvation, sinless and to be worshipped. If that is not sin, what is?
But heresy is not only found in the Catholic Church. The evangelicals are also guilty as sin.
Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham said that President Donald Trump, like the biblical figure Esther, was “raised up” by God to save the Jews from “these Islamic lunatics” referring to the Iranians.
During the event on April 1, Reverend Franklin Graham prayed for protection over Trump and U.S. troops, while also calling for freedom for the people of Iran.
Spurious pastor Paula White-Cain, a longtime spiritual advisor to the president, compared Trump’s experiences to those of Jesus Christ, saying he had been “betrayed,” “arrested,” and “falsely accused.”
Franklin Graham was also the one who claimed that Jesus would have promoted the COVID bioweapon shots if He was here on Earth. He said: “I think if there were vaccines available in the time of Christ, Jesus would have made reference to them and used them.” I don’t think so.
Franklin Graham has amassed $2.5 billion for himself and built an end times bunker for himself in Alaska. He flies veterans in for photo shoots to keep the dollars rolling in!
Trump claims he is a Christian but he spoke of totally destroying all of Iran, committing a genocide on that nation.
Mind you for 47 years Iran never attacked another country. The US and Israel have attacked and bombed at least 100 countries since the end of the second world war.
And look at the deranged and foul language of the US president. Here he is speaking of the Strait of Hormuz being closed to US friendly countries’ oil and gas shipments.
None of these words and actions by the “leader of the free world” (in scare quotes) are the words of a follower of Jesus Christ. Yet He claims to be a Christian. He said:
“I’m a very proud Christian actually.”
President Trump calls on God for His help. But along with Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump initiated the attack on the country of Iran, which had never attacked the US. The US and Israel are the aggressors in this war and they admit it.
Netanyahu admits they are the aggressors in the war and says his God will help him achieve total victory. “We are the initiating side.” “We are the fighting side.”
Netanyahu praised Genghis Kahn saying that “Jesus Christ has no advantage over Genghis Kahn” because if you’re “strong enough, powerful enough” and not weak like Jesus Christ “evil will overcome good”. He means Israel follows Genghis Kahn and is the evil that overcomes good. But might does not make right.
His god is not the God of the Bible, Jesus Christ, but instead Satan. I can say that because Jesus does not advocate war against anyone especially civilians, women, children and non-combatants.
Yet the American evangelical pastor John McArthur advocated for genocide saying that Israel can kill all the Palestinians because they are Amalek. See posts listed below.
And what about Pete Hegseth? He claims to be a “Christian”. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the following:
I am a man of faith who encourages our troops to rely on their faith. Rely on God. There are no atheists in foxholes. Your mortality is right in front of you.
My Christian faith – faith in general – is important to Trump. It is important in our combat ranks to give them a perspective on human nature, on their human nature, on our own mortality.
Folks, these people, including many leading “Christian” pastors in the American Evangelical churches are lying to you. They may be “Christians” but they are not followers of Jesus Christ.
Bearing false witness is lying. They are lying. They are deceivers and deluding themselves, perhaps believing their own lies. It is almost ubiquitous across all leaders of government, churches, denominations and corporations. Original sin is on full display leading to an open alliance with satanic forces.
Imagine Trump is so discerning that he is spiritually led by a deceiving witch Paula White under the guise of a Christian advisor.

The depth of sin have no bounds. It is a work of Satan to deceive and it is now in full swing. He has been released from the bottomless pit and has gone out deceiving the nations.
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. … 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth,…

Satan is out now and his deceptions are in full sway over the nations especially the evangelicals in the US states supporting wars against innocent civilians who did nothing to America.
No way is President Trump standing besides Jesus Christ. He could easily be a tool of Jesus Christ to bring judgment on America and Israel. That is often how God has worked. He used the godless nations of Assyria against the northern 10 tribes of Israel, He used Nebuchadnezzar and Babylon against the godless tribes of Judah/Benjamin taking them into captivity. That domination was extended to Darius the Mede and later Cyrus the Persian king, until Cyrus allowed the Jews to return.
Let’s not be deceived! Sin abounds in every news cast. Sin leads inexorably to death.
