I would define Creation Science as the knowledge of the historical details of the biblical creation and its historicity.
Historicity is the historical actuality of persons and events, meaning the quality of being part of history instead of being a historical myth, legend, or fiction. The historicity of a claim about the past is its factual status. Historicity denotes historical actuality, authenticity, factuality and focuses on the true value of knowledge claims about the past. When did knowledge of the creation begin? You would have to say with the first humans in the Garden of Eden. They were real people who lived actual lives and a record if them is found in the early chapters of Genesis. Therefore the age of the Earth and the Universe is less than 8,000 years; 6,000 years if you follow the Masoretic text or at most 7,500 years as derived from the Septuagint.
Creation Science should be synonymous with a knowledge of the Lord God Jehovah (YHWH), the self-existent One, Creator of the Universe.
The modern day Creation Science movement principally centers itself around the first 11 chapters of the book of Genesis and other relevant Old Testament scriptures. However the New Testament also records the recent creation of the Universe by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ is King of the Universe because He created it all from nothing … ex nihilo. He spoke it into existence! Now that is much more than a magic trick. He spoke Words that manifested space, time, matter and energy out of nothing, not out of the vacuum because the vacuum is something. It contains energy and exists in space and time.
Jesus the Son of God was with the Father in the beginning of time, the beginning of the Universe. He made all things that were created or made.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

And for the avoidance of doubt who the Word is, who is God,
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Jesus of Nazareth took on human flesh, the God man, who was fully God and fully human. It was Him in His pre-incarnate godhead who created the Universe.
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Not only did Jesus the Son create all things but it is by Him all things consist. His sustaining power holds the Universe together. Even down to the fundamental elementary particles, quarks, leptons and bosons. The latter includes the Higgs boson, called the God particle because in the Standard Model of Particle physics it is the Higgs that gives particles mass via the Higgs field.
The Higgs boson is not the creator but part of the created. So don’t be confused there. Yet the elementary particles all need space and time to exist. Jesus God’s Son created all the existing particles of the Universe and time for the matter to exist.
1 In many ways and in various ways of old, God having spoken to the fathers in the prophets; 2 in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all things; through whom He indeed made the ages; 3 who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and bearing up all things by the Word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, 4 having become so much better than the angels, as much as He has inherited a name more excellent beyond them.

The existence of matter, energy and spacetime is the product of Jesus Christ holding or “bearing up all things by the Word of His power“.
1 Now faith is the essence of things being hoped, the evidence of things not being seen. 2 For by this the elders obtained witness. 3 By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by a Word of God, so that the things being visible should not come into being out of things being seen.

God denying cosmologist Lawrence Krauss published a book “A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing”. It is allegedly a non-fiction book that discusses modern cosmogony (that is the study of the origin of the Universe) and its implications to the debate about the existence of God. His argument is that there is no God, no Creator as described in Genesis, but that the Universe spontaneously arose out of some quantum vacuum fluctuation.
Now considering time itself and the historicity of the Genesis account. In the book of Jude (in the NT) we read a mention of Enoch as a real historical person along with Adam.
14 And “the seventh from Adam,” Enoch, also prophesied to these men, saying, Behold, “the Lord came with” myriads “of His saints,” 15 “to do judgment against all, and to rebuke all” the ungodly of them concerning all their ungodly works which they ungodly did, “and concerning all the hard things ungodly sinners spoke against Him.”

But also the text speaks of the real judgment against the ungodly who God judged in the floodwaters of the great deluge. That was real history mentioned in the NT. And there are other references to those early chapters of Genesis mentioned in the NT. Sodom and Gomorrah is one but it is post Flood.
The genealogical lineage of the patriarchs from Adam to Jesus including Enoch are recorded as historical fact.
37 Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan, 38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

These are all real people at the beginning of time. Here Enoch is the seventh from Adam. Jesus referred directly to Adam and Eve at the creation, at the beginning. God made them male and female, no other genders. This is recorded as historical fact.
4 And he answered and said to them, Have you not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall join to his wife: and they two shall be one flesh? 6 Why they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.

You don’t need the Old Testament to understand the history of the Universe and its effects on us all. But it helps because Jesus Himself referred to it and considered those early chapters of Genesis to be real history.
