— Did they preach the same message?
Let us examine the words of these two men, Muhammad of Mecca (Arabia) and Jesus of Nazareth (Israel). We’ll contrast what each taught while they lived on Earth. Jesus lived between 1 BC and 30 AD, while Muhammad lived between 570 AD and 632 AD.
The Lord Jesus Christ, through the Apostle Peter, warned us that there will be false prophets, and false teachers, who will teach damnable heresies and will even deny that He is the Lord. (All bold are my emphases added. Square brackets [ ] indicate meanings of words. King James Version Easy-Reading Bible (KJVER) is used.)
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly [craftily] shall bring in damnable [destructive] heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Is Islam essentially the same as Judaism? Does Islam have the same teachings as Christianity? Don’t all three religions believe in the same God and teach the same truths? In particular does the Quran contain the same message as the Bible?
Muslim scholars teach that the patriarch Abraham was really a Muslim and therefore Islam is really the same as or the true basis for Judaism, in fact, that all religion is really Islam but that Jews and Christians corrupted the Book. The writings of Moses and Jesus are called the Book. Hence Jews and Christians are called the people of the Book.
Q 3:67 Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah’s which is Islam, and he joined not gods with Allah.
Q 2:135 They say: “Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided to salvation.” Say thou: “Nay! I would rather the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah.”
So Muhammad’s message is that originally Abraham had the true religion, Islam, and that Allah says that no one should follow Jews or Christians. (Unless otherwise stated the Quran translation used here is by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.)
The Muslim scholars claim Islam preceded both Judaism and Christianity. They teach that God really gave the Tawrat (the Torah, the first five book of the Old Testament) to Musa (Moses) who was a really Muslim. They also teach that Jesus was really a Muslim, a prophet, not God, but because Jews and Christians have corrupted the original writings of Moses (the Tawrat) and also the writings of Jesus, the Injil (the gospels to Muslims), God had to send Muhammad to get the pure religion sorted out.
To get this in perspective Abraham was born about 2050 BC, from him began the writings of the Old Testament. Abraham had two sons Isaac and Ishmael. Isaac was the son of promise, born of a free woman, Sarah. Ishmael was born of a slave woman, Hagar. From Isaac and his son Jacob came the nation of Israel. Jesus was born about 1 BC, from Him began the writings of the gospel, and the New Testament. Jesus was born of the lineage of Isaac.

From Ishmael and Jacob’s twin brother Esau was born the Arab nations, who have been at war with Israel ever since Jacob and Esau. From the lineage of Ishmael Muhammad was born about 570 AD. From his writings and those of his fellow travellers has come the holy books of Islam: the Quran, the Sunna (the law) and the Hadiths (the traditions).
God said with Moses that He speaks clearly and not in riddles, and as a result what Moses says is actual clear history.
Numbers 12:8 With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently [openly], and not in dark speeches [in riddles]; and the similitude [form] of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore [why] then were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?
The Quran claims that Islam predates Judaism and Christianity. Muslim scholars claim the biblical prophets were really all Muslims, even the word “Christianity” is invalid they claim—as there is no religion of Christianity.
Muhammad: Allah ≡ God
Q 29:46 And dispute ye not with the people of the Book … But say, “We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; our Allah and your Allah is One; and it is to Him we bow in Islam.”
It should be noted that contrary to what you may read, Muslims, Jews and Christians do not worship the same God. You may hear is said that all three religions are Abrahamic religions, which is false, because Allah is not God Almighty of the Bible, but some other god. We can know this from the Quran, which gives us clues to the identity of Allah. And that identity is not the same as the Living God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The name ‘Allah’ is used generically for ‘God’ by Arab cultures. Robert Spencer says that actually it is derived from ‘al-ilah’, a god. In the 6th century AD ‘Allah’ was name of the main pagan god in Mecca, and some believe it was the name of the moon-god. The Kaaba (the black Cube, in Mecca) was once full of idols. Muhammad threw out all idols from the Kaaba except one, and then he incorporated it into his new religion, Islam. The Muslim pilgrimage, called the Hajj was a pagan ritual, which Muhammad also incorporated into his new religion. It is worth noting that Muhammad’s grandfather worshipped the One the Arabs called the Almighty God, which was not Allah.
Allah has no partners
Q 3:64 Say: “O People of the Book! Come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with Him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, lords and patrons other than Allah.”
Christians and Jews believe in only one God, the I AM THAT I AM, the Self-Existent One, or Yahweh, or Jehovah, HaShem, the Word, or just God. He has many names but there is no doubt there is only one God Almighty.
Muhammad believed Christians to be polytheists, that is, they worship multiple Gods. Muhammad, as we’ll read in the Quran, completely misunderstood this and taught that God has ‘no partners’ meaning no Son, no other persons in the Godhead. We’ll also read that he did not understand the meaning of the’ Trinity’ in Christianity (more in that below).
Q 4:171 O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was no more than an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a Spirit proceeding from Him: So believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity:” desist: It will be better for you: For Allah is One God: …: Far Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth.
The Quran identifies Jesus as the Christ, but calls Him only an apostle. It also identifies Jesus as the Word, ‘His Word’ meaning God’s Word, which agrees with John 1:1-3. That is all quite confused when you understand the meaning of ‘Christ’ which is a title, not a surname. Yet the Quran denies Christ, by saying it is blasphemy to identify God with Christ.
Q 5:19 In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say “Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His Will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all–– every one that is on the earth? ….”
Of course Allah is not the God of the Bible but in the Quran Allah represents Muhammad’s god. The Quran acknowledges Christ calling Him the son of Mary.
The irony here is that ‘Christ’ means the ‘anointed one’ or ‘the Saviour’. The word ‘Christ’ is the Greek translation of the Hebrew word ‘Mashiach’ rendered ‘Messiah’ in English, which is the official title of our Lord, occurring 514 times in the New Testament. It denotes that He was anointed or consecrated to His great redemptive work as Prophet, Priest, and King of His people.
Allah has no Son
Q 2:116 They say: “Allah hath begotten a son:“… Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth:
Q 4:157 That they said in boast, “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Apostle of Allah;”–– But they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no certain knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:
The Quran denies that God sent His Son as Saviour of His people. It says that Allah only made it appear that Jesus died on a cross but actually he did not die. Some Muslims say someone else died in his place, but because he was a good man and a prophet he did not die on that cross.
God has One Son
John 1:1-3, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Clearly the God of the Bible has a Son, but Allah has no son, so who is Allah? If Allah has no son, then Allah is not the God of the Bible, who sent His son to make propitiation for our sins (by satisfying the wrath of God for what we really deserve). The Word was made flesh. Even the Quran acknowledges the Word, the Messiah, and that Christ, the son of Mary, has God’s Spirit.
But in the Bible we are told to beware!
2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Those who deny Christ Jesus came in the flesh are deceivers. It is very fitting that this warning was given more than 500 years before Muhammad.
Who is Isa?

In the Quran, Isa is equated to al-Masih (Q 2:80-84), which means the Messiah, yet Isa is meant to be Jesus. Muslim theologians cannot explain this usage.
Isa’s mother was Maryam, the daughter of Imran (Q 3:30-34), and sister of Aaron and Moses (Q 19:29). But in the Bible Amran was the father of Moses and Aaron (Exodus 6:20). According to the biblical history Amran lived at least a thousand years before Christ. Therefore it is not possible that Jesus’ mother Mary (Maryam) could have been his daughter.
According to the Quran Maryam was fostered by Zachariah, the father of John the Baptist (Q 3:30-34). It also says that Jesus was born of a virgin (Q 3:40-44) alone in a desolate place, under a date palm, not in Bethlehem (Q:19:20-25).
Trinity
“Christians are claimed by the Qur’an to believe in a family of gods — Father God, mother Mary and ‘Isa the son — but that ‘Isa rejected this teaching. (Al-Ma’idah 5:116).”
–quoted from Dr Mark Durie, “Revelation?” (City Harvest Publishing, 2006)
The Quran is stating incorrectly that the Trinity is God the Father, Jesus the Son and Mary the Mother. But no Christian ever believed that. Roman Catholics have absorbed the pagan doctrine of the Queen of Heaven (Jeremiah 7:18; 44:19) and place Mary as co-redemptrix with Christ as well as define her formally as the Mother of God, but even they would agree that the Trinity is the standard, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“The doctrine of the Trinity is disbelief and a painful doom awaits those who believe it. (Al-Ma’idah 5:73).”
–quoted from Dr Mark Durie, “Revelation?” (City Harvest Publishing, 2006)
Did the Bible foretell of Muhammad?
Q 61:6 And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said: “O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah sent to you, confirming the Law which came before me, and giving Glad Tidings of an Apostle to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “This is evident sorcery!”
This is a sura (verse) from the Quran, which Muslims claim is a describing a prediction by Jesus of a prophet, Muhammad, who would come. Ahmad here is supposed to be Muhammad. But this statement by Jesus is not found in the Bible. Muslims say Jews and Christians corrupted the text, so that you can’t find what was originally written. But in the Old Testament (not the New Testament which records what Jesus said), we read:
Deuteronomy 18:18 I [God] will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like to you, and will put My words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.
This is the famous “that Prophet” verse that the people quizzed Jesus over, asking Him if He was “that Prophet” (John 6:14) who was predicted to come. When asked if He was “that Prophet” they also asked Him if He was Elijah come back (John 1:21). And Jesus said He wasn’t. I believe there He was saying He wasn’t Elijah. Because we know from
Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD your God will raise up to you a Prophet from the midst of you, of your brethren, like to me; to Him you shall hearken;
that God through His prophet Moses, is saying that a Prophet would the LORD Jehovah God raise up out of the children of Israel, like Moses, to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. This is the typology that Christ Jesus would come and save His people, like Moses did physically, Jesus would lead them out of Egypt spiritually (Acts 7:37-39). In Acts 3:22,23 the Apostle Peter refers to Christ (Acts 3:20) as the fulfillment of “that Prophet”. Jesus Himself identified as a prophet (Luke 13:33) and He only spoke the words of His Father (John 8:28; 12:49).
But some Muslim scholar claim this is a prediction of Muhammad a prophet to come. This is quite inconsistent with the text as the original prophecy (Deuteronomy 18:15,18) clearly states “a Prophet” will come from “among their brethren”, which of course must mean the children of Israel, the Jews. I am sure no Muslim believes Muhammad was a Jew. He was born of the lineage of Ishmael not of Isaac.
Islamic scholars say that Muhammad is the prophet like Moses. But the Islamic scholars, who make this claim, should also read the verse in context, for Deuteronomy 18:20 says:
Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
When Deuteronomy 18:20 is considered in the light of the Satanic Verses–where Mohammad glorified and approved of demons of the Quraysh tribe, then he repented, and claimed that he had been misled by Satan–it is clear that Muhammad is not a prophet like Moses. For Muhammad did the two things that this verse says a true prophet must not do.
A true Prophet must not:
- Presume to speak something that God had not commanded him to say. Muhammad himself said: I ascribed to Allah, what He had not said. (Ibn Sa’d, vol. 1, p. 237) I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken. (Al-Tabari, vol. 6, p. 111)
- Muhammad spoke in the name of other gods when he spoke the words of Satan and said that three false gods where true (in Satanic verses).
Satanic verses– include 3 gods of his tribe which he initially honoured. They were three female deities: al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat. Each had a shrine in separate places not far from Mecca in Arabia, where Muhammad was born and began his mission. They were even considered to be daughters of God! The Quran, as it now reads, obviously rejects these deities.
While Muhammad was in Mecca, his followers were few, his movement grew painfully slowly and he, too, felt the pain of estrangement from his tribe. According to early and treasured biographical and historical accounts of Muhammad, authored by competent Muslim scholars (such as writings of al-Tabari and Ibn Sa’d), Muhammad longed for better relations and reconciliation with his community. Thereafter, the accounts continue, God revealed Surah 53 to Muhammad up to and including verses 19, 20. These two verses read:
Have ye thought upon al-Lat and al-Uzza
And Manat, the third, the other? (Q 53:19,20)
Then, originally, the verses (known today as the Satanic verses) followed:
These are the exalted cranes (intermediaries)
Whose intercession is to be hoped for.
But Muhammad soon retracted the reconciliation—how soon is not clear. For the account continues that Jibril (Gabriel), the angel of revelation, informed Muhammad that Satan had used Muhammad’s desire for reconciliation with the pagan leaders to insert into the revelation of God the verses about the interceding cranes, otherwise called “the Satanic verses”. These verses are not found in the Quran today.
Comparing Jesus and Muhammad by their words
In regards to the Jews who had crucified Him,
Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” And they parted His raiment [divided up His clothing] and cast lots.
However Muhammad said,
Q 4:46 Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their right places, … with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. …; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe.
Muhammad said in regards to both Jews and Christians, the following.
Q 9:30 The Jews call Uzair Ezra a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the Son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; In this they imitate what the Unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: How they are deluded away from the Truth!
This comparison alone tells use that Allah and God the Father of the Bible cannot be the same person. They have exactly opposite characters. Then in regards to how Christ Jesus taught the disciples to treat their enemies, Jesus said:
Matthew 5:44-46 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which spitefully [maliciously] use you, and persecute you; 45 That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven….. 46 For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? ….
Because to just love those who love you is human nature but God has a higher love, a sacrificial love, with which He tells us we should love our enemies. But 500 years after Christ, Muhammad taught in regards to his followers’ enemies, in fact, all non-Muslims, the following.
Q 9:5 But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war; but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: For Allah is Oft–Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Muhammad on military conquest
At Mecca when Muhammad was militarily weak, he promoted his new religion as a religion of peace. However after he went to Medina his religion changed to one of the sword. So the earlier verses of the Quran are abrogated, or substituted for the new ones. (The verses in the Quran are not listed in chronological order, so you have to know when they were given to know their chronology.) The Islamic idea of abrogation is a key principle in the interpretation of the Quran.
Q 2:106 None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah hath power over all things?
Of course this was probably very convenient for Muhammad at the time. If he needed to change something, he just got a new revelation from Allah to that effect. A side point here is that the Quran is alleged to have been written by Allah before the beginning of time, and Muhammad just revealed it, brought it down from heaven, in his time. How then can a sura (verse) be changed for a later sura (verse), and “substitute something better”? Wouldn’t it all have been fixed in eternity past? It can’t have temporally evolved in Muhammad’s day if it was previously written already.
Muhammad promoted and used military conquest over not only unbelievers but also over the Jews and Christians. His revelations indicate the use of striking “terror into their hearts” to do so.
Q 33:26 And those of the people of the Book who aided them–– Allah did take them down from their strongholds and cast terror into their hearts. So that some ye slew, and some ye made prisoners.
Q 8:60 Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom Allah doth know.
As a result the conquered are given a choice of 3 options.
Q 9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth [Islam], even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya [poll tax] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued [Dhimmitude].
One can choose to
- convert to Islam, that is, submit, or
- pay a tax and become a second class citizen, called Dhimmitude, or
- die.
That’s it. No forgiveness, love or mercy there. However Jesus had an otherworldly concept on military conquest. To Pontius Pilate, the Roman military governor,
John 18:36 Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world: if My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is My Kingdom not from here.
Jesus means that His army is not an earthly army, but spiritual. And what army would fight against Jesus anyway?
Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast [the AntiChrist], and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him [Jesus] that sat on the horse, and against His army.
Muhammad taught those who reject Islam, even among Jews and Christians, will be sent to Hell.
Q 98:6 Those who reject Truth [Islam], among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hellfire, to dwell therein for aye. They are the worst of creatures.
One Hadith (tradition) says that a Jew or Christian will replace even the biggest sin-laden Muslim in Hell. And despite arguments to the contrary according to Muhammad Jews and Christians are polytheists. Remember, it was Muhammad who threw out of the Kaaba all the idols of the many gods, except one, which he retained for his new Islam religion.
Q 48:6 And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists, men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: The Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination.
If you once became a Muslim but later rejected it you could never again be forgiven.
Q 3:90 But those who reject Faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of Faith,–– never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have of set purpose gone astray.
However Jesus has a different view on forgiveness.
Mark 3:28 Verily I say to you, All sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme.
Luke 7:47 Wherefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.
The irony is that salvation by Christ is from the Jews, whom Muhammad really had a hated for. Also Muslim scholars say that Jesus was a Muslim, but in His earthly form he was Jewish, and He said:
John 4:22 You worship you know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
And Jesus said that there is no other way to be saved from Hell hereafter.
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me.
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross.
Christ died for us, while we were even yet sinners (Romans 5:8) and nailed our sins to His cross, appeasing the wrath of God, so that we might live. What about salvation in Quran?
Q 5:20 Both the Jews and the Christians say: “We are the sons of Allah, and His beloved.” Say: “Why then does He punish you for your sins? Nay, you are but men,–– of the men He hath created: He forgives whom He pleases. And He punishes whom He pleases: …
Allah, Islam’s conception of God, is one who chooses quite capriciously who he will save and who he will damn. A Muslim can never know if he will be good enough to be accepted by his god. These verses, from the Quran, give us an understanding of the Muslim concept of salvation.
Q 2:135 They say: “Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided to salvation.” Say thou: “Nay! I would rather the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah.”
Q 23:102 Then those whose balance of good deeds is heavy,–– they will attain salvation:
Q 85:11 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens beneath which Rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, the fulfillment of all desires,
Q 5:122 Allah will say: “This is a day on which the truthful will profit from their truth: Theirs are the Gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,–– their eternal home:” Allah well–pleased with them, and they with Allah: That is the great Salvation, the fulfillment of all desires.
Islam like most other religions is a works religion. In Islam there is no way of knowing if your good deeds have been enough to warrant salvation. The only exception is by being a شهيد shahid, which is the Arabic word for ‘martyr’. By being a martyr they believe they will go to a paradise with 72 virgins. Maybe this is the “Gardens beneath which Rivers flow” (Q 85:11). Why ‘beneath’, why not ‘above’, as in heaven? And what rivers are flowing in the “Gardens below”?
From the Bible we learn that salvation is God’s work. He said through the Apostle John:
John 1:12,13 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power [right] to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in His name. 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will [desire] of the flesh, nor of the will [desire] of man, but of God.
The word ‘receive’ here is derived from the Greek word λαμβάνω lambano, which means to take, to receive, to get hold of. The word ‘power’ here is derived from the Greek word ἐξουσία exousia, which means privilege or right, and is connected with military power or force. The word ‘believe’ here is derived from the Greek word πιστεύω pisteuo, which means to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to, a person or thing), or to entrust (especially one’s spiritual well-being to Christ). So the full force of the verse is that to become one of the sons of God, one must get a hold of Christ, receive Him through belief, that is, by trusting in Him, so that you’ll be given the right or power to inherit the kingdom. This right only comes from God Himself–there is nothing man can do nor can he will to make it happen.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believes to righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.
What can you do yourself? It is totally a work of God. Well, you can do something—accept Jesus Christ into your life. Then Christ has told the believers to earnestly maintain their faith. Islam attempts to rewrite all history—subsuming all of the Jewish and Christian prophets as its own. Even PLO chief Arafat once claimed Jesus was the first Palestinian mujahedeen (freedom fighter). But the Apostle Paul warns us….
Jude 1:3,4 … it was needful for me to write to you, and exhort [urge] you that you should earnestly contend for the faith … 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares [unnoticed], who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness [unbridled lust], and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:6-8 I marvel [am amazed] that you are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ to another [a different] gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel [messenger] from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed [condemned].
We must be on the look-out for those who would deny the Lord Jesus as God, and would introduce another gospel, not that one that Christ has given. Islam denies both the Father and the Son, and preaches a different gospel, certainly not one of salvation through Jesus Christ, even though their concept of Jesus (i.e. Isa) is one of a holy prophet.
“Jamal al-Din al-Afghani the notable Muslim thinker and reformer in the nineteenth-century, was explicit in his comparison of Islam and Christianity on the power equation. He stated: ‘The Christian religion is based on making peace, and kindness prevails in everything…whereas Islam is based on an aspiration to victory, might, conquest and boldness.’”
–quoted from B. Gabriel, “They Must Be Stopped” (p.203), excerpted from original “Nisan’s Identity and Civilization”, p.165.
The concept of the Christ message of love and forgiveness is not found in Islam. That religion seems to be more one of conquest and military rule.
History in the Quran?
“The Qu’ran, written in the seventh century AD, cannot be regarded as having any authority whatsoever to inform us about Jesus of Nazareth. It offers no valid evidence for its claims about Biblical history, and its numerous historical errors reflect a garbled understanding of Biblical history.”
“In the end times as described by Muhammad, Isa the Muslim Jesus becomes a warrior who will return with his bloody sword and lance. He will destroy the Christian religion and make Islam the only religion in all the world.”
“Finally, at the last judgement, he will condemn Christians to hell for believing in the crucifixion and the incarnation. These final acts of the Muslim Isa reflect Islam’s traditional apologetic strategy in relation to Christianity, which is to deny the Yeshua of history, and replace him with a facsimile of Muhammad, so that nothing remains but Muhammad’s Islam.”
–quoted from Dr Mark Durie, “Revelation?” (City Harvest Publishing, 2006), pp. 39,51.

One reply on “Jesus or Muhammad?”
Jesus, the Creator, forgave sins. That makes Him God. He also was the Last Prophet. No need for another bringing a different gospel.
