Once again mankind has shown its ignorance about the creation that our omnipotent Creator set in place — a universe full of billions of galaxies. As the technology has advanced to make better quality measurements deeper and deeper out into the universe, more questions are raised than are answered.
Now (June 19, 2024) we find in The Economist the headline ‘The dominant model of the universe is creaking, Dark energy could break it apart.’
The opening two paragraphs of that article state as follows (bold emphases are mine).
In Arizona Kitt Peak National Observatory, a telescope has spent three years building a three-dimensional map of the heavens. In examining the light from tens of millions of galaxies, the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) may have found something astounding.
DESI, as its name suggests, is a tool to investigate the nature of dark energy, a mysterious entity that accounts for 68% of everything in the universe and which pushes space apart in a repulsive version of gravity. Though they do not know what it is, scientists have hitherto assumed that the density of dark energy has been the same since the start of the universe, 13.7bn years ago. But DESI’s initial results suggest that this assumption may have been wrong. Perhaps, say DESI’s scientists, the density has been changing over time. “It’s so bizarre,” says Dragan Huterer from the University of Michigan, who was involved with the work. If the findings prove true, it would catapult cosmology into a crisis.
This report is based on the work published by DESI from their three year survey of the skies using an instrument to spectroscopically measure the redshifts of tens of millions of galaxies and quasars out to an alleged distance of 11 billion light-years.
Another report from The Science Times states: (bold emphases are mine)
Dragan Huterer from the University of Michigan, who worked on the project, found the findings strange. He added that cosmology would be thrown into disarray should the results hold true.
Since dark energy is challenging to investigate directly, little is known about its true nature. The leading theory holds that energy is inherent to a space’s vacuum.
Let me break this down for you.
What did they measure?
Using a spectrometer they measured the redshift in certain spectral lines in the light coming from tens of millions of galaxies as well as the galaxies’ positions on the sky. Those are the singular facts in this investigation.
What did they discover?
They discovered that they know even less about the universe than they thought they did know.
The measured redshift and position data were converted into a 3D map of the slice of the universe they were making measurements on. But to do that they have to assume a cosmological model for the universe. Why? Because they do not measure any distances.
Which model did they assume?
They assumed the standard big bang ΛCDM model. The Greek symbol Λ signifies Dark Energy and CDM signifies Cold Dark Matter.
In order to make any conclusions from the study a model has to be assumed. However when they do apply their results to the standard ΛCDM model things just don’t add up.
You need to realise that Dark Energy and Dark Matter do not exist. They are just fudge factors made up to get the mathematical model to fit some observations. Besides cosmology is not science!
But no one would ever consider discarding the failed model because then they would have to go back to the drawing board and start again. Or God forbid that they would have to look at the possibility that the universe did not arise from a big bang, that is, that the big bang never happened.
The idea that the universe is the creation of God is so abhorrent because the miso theists hate the idea that they are not the captains of their own destiny. Therefore they must deny His creation as described in the Genesis text. They believe that materialism is all that is needed to explain the observed universe. That is their religious belief system.
Dark Energy and Dark Matter are just place holders for what they don’t know. The cosmologists might even be willing to admit that, while using expressions like ‘crises in cosmology’ or ‘little is known’ about dark energy as in these news reports. But they will never admit that their paradigm is wrong.
The mythical Dark Energy is meant to comprise 68% of the mass/energy content of the universe yet absolutely nothing is known about it. It has never been measured in the local lab because you cannot measure something that does not exist.
The mythical Dark Matter on the other hand only comprises about 28% of the mass/energy content while the remaining 4% is the normal matter physicists called baryons, i.e. protons, neutrons etc. Dark matter also has never been measured in a local lab experiment. I spent years looking for one candidate (paraphotons) and published on our null results.
You see the problem is that their physics is wrong. Without admitting this no progress can be made.
For starters it is equivocal that the universe is even expanding, let alone arose from some big bang 13.78 billion years ago.
The cosmologists do not know what Dark Energy is, which they admit. One of the researchers involved in the DESI survey even admitted that ‘it is bizarre’.
The reason for this is that their model is so bad that it is ‘not even wrong’! That is the expression that physics use to describe a theory when measurements utterly refute it. That is, the theory is said to be even worse than wrong.
Despite labelling their new collaboration and the instrument with the appellation “Dark Energy …” they are none the wiser because the Emperor has no clothes.
The Emperor is the failed standard big bang model of the large scale structure of the universe. Dark Energy was his new clothes, but the Emperor has now be stripped naked.
Every time the tax-payer or some foundation spends millions or billions of dollars to find the Emperor’s clothes, the observations reveal that he is in fact totally naked.
Starting with the false assumption that the universe evolved out of a singularity and galaxies formed spontaneously (with the help of copious quantities of fictitious Dark Matter) over billions of years leads to nonsensical conclusions. This is because none of the story is factual. It is all a fairy tale for educated adults.
Any true cosmologist would admit this and discard the failed standard model. The big bang is a total fiction like the story of the Emperor’s new clothes.
