The Bible prophecies in the book of Daniel are hotly debated among scholars from different schools of thought. My view is that most of the prophecies there have had historical fulfilments already.
But many subscribe to the futurist interpretation of a coming AntiChrist, a 7-year peace deal and a pre-Tribulation Rapture of the Church. This all allegedly happens after the reestablishment of Israel.
Daniel 11:30-39 is one passage of scripture that the futurists claim relates to the AntiChrist. They claim it describes him setting up his global rule from a newly built 3rd Temple in Jerusalem from which he rules the world but by that time there are no Christians left as they have been all raptured. Therefore Christian Zionists look forward to such a situation.
They assign the meaning of the covenant here to some 7-year peace deal which comes from their misinterpretation of Daniel 9:27.
However the historicists view the fulfilment of Daniel 11:30-39 in the Roman invasion of Jerusalem, the importation of pagan Roman gods into the Temple and it destruction along with Jerusalem in 70 AD under Emperor Vespasian. In fact, my online AKJV Bible has a subheading The invasion and tyranny of the Romans for that section. Of course it is not part of the biblical text.
I have come to a particular view on Bible prophecy, which may be understood from the following. The Apostle John wrote:
26 I have written these things to you concerning the ones leading you astray.
27 And the anointing [of the Holy Spirit] which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you, but the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and as He taught you, abide in Him.1 John 2:26-27 KJ3
The Apostle says that those of us who are anointed with the Holy Spirit of God have no need to follow others’ teachings because the Holy Spirit will lead and teach us. Of course, this means following the NT teachings of the Lord and His Apostles but in areas of interpretation of biblical prophecy we do not need to go to some Bible college to find out what the scriptures mean.
Many in those Bible colleges teach utter falsehoods and deceive many. They are those the Apostle John refers to in verse 26, those that would deceive and lead astray many.
Just look at the Bible colleges rejection of the clear meaning of God’s words in regards to the creation account wherein Exodus 20:11 clearly teaches that God created the whole universe in only 6 ordinary days and rested on the seventh day. That is evident there because of the linkage to the 6-day work week and the rest day of the Sabbath.
In the following I take a fresh look at this Daniel 11 passage and consider if it might have a fulfilment in these current times.
I am looking at it as a modern day fulfilment. Since Satan is the same in each generation he possesses and leads rulers down the same path. So why wouldn’t prophecy describe a pattern fulfilled time and time again?
The covenant in the book of Daniel is not some 7-year peace deal but the covenant between God and those who love Him.
4 I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, 5 we have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules. 6 We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. 7 To you, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but to us open shame, as at this day, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to all Israel, those who are near and those who are far away, in all the lands to which you have driven them, because of the treachery that they have committed against you.
Daniel 9:4-7 AKJV
Because the inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem (Jews) at that time acted wickedly and rebelled against God He sent His Roman armies in judgment against them. The prophet Daniel was shown this would happen, and as the prophecy in Daniel 9 tells us that before the judgment God sent His Son and died on the cross for the salvation of all those who would come to Him.
Now follow me with these verses.
30 For the ships of Chittim [Romans] shall come against him [the king]: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation [fury] against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant.
Daniel 11:30 AKJV
Who was against the holy covenant? The Jews who killed Jesus. The king in this verse, must be a king of Israel, like Herod, who killed all the babies in an effort to kill Jesus. He must be from the Jews. He turned on those who believe in the holy covenant with God. That is what happened to the disciples of Christ in the early church.
The king consorted with with those like the Sanhedrin who had forsaken the holy covenant. They hated the followers of Christ, because the followers of Jesus were those who loved Him and kept His commandments. It was the Satanic Jews who forsook the holy covenant in their rejection of Jesus as Messiah.
Today the the covenant is still the same; between Christ’s followers and God. Those who would destroy that covenantal relationship are the synagogue of Satan who hate Jesus Christ. It was them around 30 AD and now, who are against Christ’s covenant.
31 And arms [forces] shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.

A current fulfilment sees this as the globalist synagogue of Satan (corporations/news media/international banks) agenda stopping any worship of the living God in Jesus Christ. Through their Jewish/Israeli lobby in Western countries they are pressing governments to pass laws, under the cover of antisemitism, to make it illegal to profess Christ.

The believer’s heart is the sanctuary of God. Polluting it means destroying its true meaning and deceiving so-called Christians into paying for reconstruction of the Temple, which is not the sanctuary of God. That is an abomination to God who gave His only begotten Son to pay for the sin of the world.

It was Jesus Christ who made the final and only sacrifice for sin. There can be no other.
9 But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn you again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto you desire again to be in bondage?
Galatians 4:9 AKJV
To those who wish to establish again temple worship, i.e., return to the weak and beggarly elements, God says:
29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?

Millions of evangelicals have been deceived to believe that modern Israel is a divine fulfilment of prophecy and that they should support Israel even though many Israelis and Jews worldwide hate Jesus Christ. They spit on the mention of Christ’s name.
The daily sacrifice is symbolised in the communion ceremony instituted by Christ. Christ’s death on the cross took away any requirement to sacrifice goats and bulls (Hebrews 9:14).
By reinstituting the animal sacrifices, which they intend to do soon on the Temple mount, they are making the abomination which makes desolate. Abomination means detestable to God. Any animal sacrifice now is detestable to God.
32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt [seduce] by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

The person described as ‘he’ is the same Satanic king/ruler throughout the passage. Satan is limited in scope and always uses wicked people to do his dirty work. In this case he is the leader of the synagogue of Satan who works with Satanic Jews to persecute the followers of Jesus Christ.
33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 34 Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall join to them with flatteries. 35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
Daniel 11:33-35 AKJV
This passage describes that persecution of the followers of Christ. It was they who understood what Jesus had taught, i.e. that the Roman armies were sent in judgment on Israel. The Satanic Jewish persecution of Christ followers will continue to the time of the end. That was true under the persecution by the Jewish rulers 2000 years ago and it is and will be true again under the Satanic globalist rule using the US hegemon.
Those who understand among the people are those followers of Christ who reject the lies of the Satanic Corporate Churches and their love of Zionism. Zionism is a Jewish nationalist political movement and has nothing to do with the salvation offered by Jesus Christ, who taught that salvation is not according to ethnicity but only the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
36 And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation [fury] is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.

Speaking against God Almighty is a give away. The arrogance of the Satanic figure here. He must be a globalist of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews but they lie. He claims a divine right over the lands of Palestine and surrounding countries and succeeds in conquering them with the munitions supplied by the US hegemon.
9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
Revelation 3:9 AKJV
Initially this Satanic king prospers and expands his kingdom in the Greater Israel project but only until he has had enough rope to hang himself.
37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers [Abraham, Isaac and Jacob], nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Daniel 11:37 AKJV
The description here is an atheist homosexual who does not desire women, nor does he believe in any god. There are many atheists in the synagogue of Satan. Someone similar to Yuval Noah Harari comes to mind. He ticks most of the boxes there.
38 But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.
Daniel 11:38-39 AKJV
The phrase here “strong holds with a strange god” suggests this king is in communion with dark Satanic forces. He honours a god that his fathers knew not which must be Satanic. How much more Satanic could you get than a god of nuclear weaponry?
The Shimon Peres Negev Nuclear Research Center, located in the Negev desert near the city of Dimona, is Israel’s nuclear facility. Built in 1963 with its primary purpose to produce plutonium for Israel’s nuclear weapons program.
How many nuclear bombs does Israel have by now? Some estimates put it above 200. Of course it is all very secret but in recent times Israeli politicians have confirmed that they do have them. One spoke of nuking Gaza.

The Jewish state has a new god in the nuclear age. Their fathers 2 to 3 thousand years ago never knew such forces. A lot of wealth is associated with such power especially as Israel makes moves to expand into neighbouring countries to build their Greater Israel project. Thus the sentence “he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain”.

The modern Jewish state has become a pariah in the world as they have stolen more and more Palestinian land. They constantly claim a divine right to the land but ignore the Commandments of God especially those to not murder, steal, cheat and lie.
Since Christ came and paid the ultimate sacrifice for sin there is no longer any temple and blood sacrifice needed which could not take away sin from the wicked heart of man. Only Christ in one’s heart can do that. Where Christ lives there is no sin. Trust only in Him!
