I asked AI to create a digital image of me at my current age of 74 and I got this.

October 19th / 20th (depending on your location) I will be presenting my latest thoughts on human longevity based on a new model describing the ages of the biblical patriarchs. Bookmark this YouTube video, presented live with Standing For Truth.

The new model is deep and gives some very surprising results, about how long Adam could have lived and how long modern humans should live if not for the sustaining power of God.

It is a bit technical so I recommend you do some homework. I build on my December 2025 Standing for Truth YouTube presentation What Happened After the Flood? Why Did Lifespans Decrease Rapidly? with supporting documentation Ancient Human Longevity and Its Rapid Decline. I also include how entropy-driven somatic mutations contribute to aging. Read Uncovering Human Lifespan Limits | The Role of Somatic Mutations

I have tried to bring this all together and present a coherent model describing the history of human longevity since Creation.

  1. I have been reading Walt Brown’s “In the Beginning”. The 9th edition is viewable at https://www.creationscience.com/.

I think he provides the mechanisms for the flood that lead to the aging effects that you have described. I will outline them here with page numbers in his book.

His assumptions (page 134) start with one mile of supercritical water beneath 60 miles of a global continent trapping the water beneath it. This was in a steady state prior to the fall and even up to the flood. At the flood those subterranean waters erupted which created the radioactive elements in the crust (starting on page 387). This would be a source of genetic mutations that would affect aging after the flood.

The erupted fountains eroded part of the global continent. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge rose until the continental pieces slid rapidly and crashed to form mountains. This rising of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge caused the Pacific continental pieces to subside. That process formed the Earth’s core (pages 125, 170). That increased Earth’s magnetic field. This would be the source of the variable magnetic intensities affecting aging that you described.

When the mountains rose this disrupted the gravity balance of the Earth causing it to roll (page 159). That disrupted the tilt of the Earth’s axis somewhat. He references Dodwell’s data as you do.

Brown also accepts Henry B. Smith, Jr’s biblical chronology (page 516). He provides evidence for it based on two comets, Halley and Swift-Tuttle, whose orbits lead back to 3290 plus or minus 100 years (pages 580 to 583).

Brown also discusses the age of people before and after the flood (starting on page 516).

You may already be aware of the above, but I wanted to make sure, because what you have presented seems to align well with Brown’s theory. Blessings!

    1. Frank, Thanks for that summary. There are several areas in his thesis (as you describe) I disagree with.

The Earth’s core has had a magnetic field from the moment of creation due to the circulating current in the liquid metal. No surface effects, sinking continents etc, could cause anything more than a perturbation of that.

The total energy in the magnetic field has been decreasing since creation. I presented archeointensity measurements of the historical Dipole magnetic moment (VADM) which translated into an initially static Dipole field up to about 1,000 years after the Flood (about 2,000 BC) when it increased and peaked about 1,000 BC, and has been linearly decaying over the past 1,000 years. See https://biblescienceforum.com/2025/04/30/major-changes-in-earths-magnetic-dipole-since-creation/

However the other component, the non-Dipole field has been increasing over the past 1,000 years. See Fig. 2 in https://biblescienceforum.com/2025/05/02/a-brief-history-of-the-earths-magnetic-field/

      If you reread https://biblescienceforum.com/2025/12/08/ancient-human-longevity-and-its-rapid-decline/
you will see that I have edited the section “Discussion (edited 4/10/2026)”. I wrote there:

Before the Curse Adam and Eve lived in the Garden in a state where the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics was operating from the end of Creation week. Their physiological losses L(t) were increasing but extremely low.

In plain language that means that their age potential was decreasing right from the moment creation itself. This is because the 2nd Law was in operation from the creation; it did not start at the Curse. Using the Septuagint age data we can say that their potential lifespans were initially at least 200,000 years (without the Curse) but exponentially decaying. The introduction of the Curse meant an instantaneous step-wise shift down to an age < 1,000 years.

I am suggesting that the preCurse condition was initiated at creation. The Earth's magnetic field was already "baked in" as the Creator set in place (by design) a shift in the spin axis of the core from the moment of creation. That resulted in a change in the core inclination of a total of 30 degrees or roughly +/- 15 degrees from equilibrium. But because the total Earth mass is so much larger than the core mass it meant the Earth's obliquity only shifted by about 3 degrees or roughly +/- 1.5 degrees from equilibrium. See https://biblescienceforum.com/2025/04/21/can-we-know-the-year-of-noahs-flood/

I plan on putting this all together in a new book, which covers Earth's obliquity, core inclination, resulting magnetic field, the effect on historical ages and mechanisms affecting those ages.

I once calculated the angular momentum that could be transferred from an asteroid or comet impact to shift the tilt of the Earth's axis from the steady state (Newcomb's formula). Any reasonable assumptions of speed, mass and angle did very little. I don't doubt we've had large impacts but they have not shifted the spin axis more than very small perturbations.
