Chapter 18 follows on from chapter 17. So you should read my post on chapter 17 before reading this one.

I use the eschatological scheme known as historical: spiritual . Under this scheme we allow the Holy Spirit to interpret for us (with reference to other scriptures) what the prophesy means to us today. If the scriptures are for us all then we need to believe that God wrote them to us all whatever era we live in. 1 John 2:27

Below I reproduce the verses of Revelation chapter 18, with my comments following.

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Revelation 18:1,2

In chapter 17 we explored the view that Babylon the great, the whore that rides the beast, actually represents the globalist banksters, whom Jesus called the synagogue of Satan. You could also call them the assembly of Satan or the congregation of Satan, because that is what the word “synagogue” means. The beast is the ruler of the current one world government. He is possessed of Lucifer, who has always possessed the ruler of each empire of man.

Those in the bankster cabal, the assembly of Satan, are the habitation of devils, ie. they are possessed of demons. Note, there are no Jews in the synagogue of Satan. They are the globalist oligarchs who now say they have become gods.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed [grown] rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

Revelation 18:3

The “kings of the earth” are the major rulers of nations, which include the globalist oligarchs of the Club of Rome, and controllers of the UN. The “merchants of the earth” are the megacorporate leaders who meet at Davos Switzerland, the World Economic Forum (WEF) who are in mercantile intercourse with the banksters, the whore of Babylon. They have grown rich through that intercourse, symbolised by sexual intercourse with the whore.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.

Revelation 18:4,5

The followers of Jesus, the saved children of God, are called to come out of the Babylon beast system. Have no debt in the debt based slavery system. Have no part in it because …

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money].

Matthew 6:24

You must choose who you follow Christ or money. I am not saying not to work for money, to support your family, but not to love money and wealth, not to be addicted to making money in ways that are immoral. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Be not greedy of filthy lucre (1 Timothy 3:3). Money itself is morally neutral, but what counts is lust for it.

If you can, as much as you can, get out of the fiat currency system. The banks create currency by issuing debt, i.e. mortgages etc. The word “mortgage” is derived from the French mort gaige, literally “dead pledge”.

The central banks create currency by issuing debt based bank notes in the “money printing” system. Nowadays most is not physically printed but just an entry in a spreadsheet. So….

6 Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul; be not cut off in her iniquity, for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance; He will render to her a recompense.

7 Babylon has been a golden cup in the Lord’s hand, that made all the earth drunken; the nations [the kings, the leaders of megacorporations] have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

8 Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: Howl for her! Take balm for her pain; if so be she may be healed.

9 We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed. Forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country, for her judgment reaches to heaven and is lifted up even to the skies.

Jeremiah 51:6-9

The same demonic spirit was running the world in Jeremiah’s time. The Lord told His children then to get out. The same message applies now but where do you go? It is now a spiritual admonition, which requires us to have no part in the idol worship of the false god of Mammon.

To LIVE in Christ is life, but to live for Mammon is idolatry of a false god, it is the opposite of life. Just reverse the order of the letters and you get EVIL!

Reward her [the whore] even as she rewarded you, and double to her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled fill to her double.

Revelation 18:6

The banksters, the congregation of Satan, will get their due reward when God judges her. That will be judgment according to her works which she has used to make merchandise of the poor of this world (through the BIS, the IMF, the Vatican bank, the Bank of England, the US Federal Reserve, central banks, etc).

How much she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she says in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

Revelation 18:7

These mega-rich bankers who have raped the wealth of the world, through fiat paper money printing and fiat currency creation through the massive Ponzi scheme of debt creation, have lived in total opulence. They see themselves as the rulers of the world. As the fake or counterfeit bride of the King, of God, they see themselves as His Queen. But in fact their god is Lucifer. So they are Lucifer’s queen.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judges her.

Revelation 18:8

This verse tells us she produces plagues which come in “one day” meaning suddenly, “out of the blue”. The plagues result in death and mourning and famine. The globalists have been busy with this over the past decade or more, engineering a plague of global proportions, which they called COVID-19. Many millions have already died from the toxic shots and many more will. The COVID Blog even estimates a billion have already succumbed. The Lord God will soon judge the whore of Babylon, and that judgment will be with fire. When have we read that before?

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the day of judgment and perdition [destruction] of ungodly men.

2 Peter 3:7

This tells us God will judge her with His wrath in the final days of planet Earth before He brings down His heavenly city on the new earth.

9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is your judgment come.

Revelation 18:9,10

The “kings of the earth” are those fascist rulers of nations and kings like Charles III and a small group of the megacorporate leaders who have political power over nations and are in concourse with the whore, the banksters, out of the “great city Babylon”.

We understand from Revelation 11:8 the “great city” is Jerusalem, where our Lord was crucified. The city represents the powerful political leaders just as they did in Jesus day when the Pharisees (the political leaders of the nation of Israel) demanded Jesus’s death because He said that He is God, which was the truth.

And the woman which you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 17:18

Clearly the woman here, the whore of Babylon, is the “great city”. It reigns over or controls the “kings of the earth”, the evil political rulers of nations. So the concept of the great city extends to all nations the whore controls. She is now implementing one world government through the WEF and UN to control as many of the 194 nations of the world as she can.

But eventually the globalist bankers and their whole fiat currency system will be destroyed; their Ponzi scheme gone. This will happen very suddenly as signified by “in one hour”. And the “kings of the earth” will mourn at her destruction.

11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more:

12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

14 And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from you, and you shalt find them no more at all.

Revelation 18:11-14

All “the merchants of the earth”, who have made their fortunes from collateralising/monetising mankind, will be judged. This is how they have made slaves of men. In our current world “kings” includes political leaders and kings like Charles III. The “merchants” are specifically megacorporate leaders who are implementing their “Great Reset”. But the line now has become blurred between governments and corporations in a fascist dictatorship of the world under the WEF/UN umbrella.

The oligarchs are now declaring themselves god. They say we need to obey or die. Yuval Noah Harari claims there is no God and that the oligarchs have power over mankind, which is another way of saying they trade in the souls of men.

15 The merchants of these things [including the souls of men], which were made rich by her [the whore, the banksters with their fiat currency], shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

Revelation 18:15-18

The wealth and power of the banksters will be destroyed suddenly. The megacorporate leaders will be wailing because their wealth depended on the banking cartel. It will be destroyed as the whole earth commercial mercantile system is destroyed.

19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Revelation 18:19

The global fiat monetary system is hollow. It is a sham. It is a debt based system and its only wealth is in the souls of men. That means collateralising the future intellectual property and labour of humans is their only wealth. With the destruction of the currency system the banksters lose control over their stolen assets, human souls, which was never theirs anyway. So suddenly the banksters central banks and global banks are destroyed.

The total global derivative debt is estimated as high as 4 quadrillion US dollars, i.e. US $4,000,000,000,000,000. That doesn’t actually exist. It is only through the collateralisation of nations with all their real assets including human souls (v 12,13) that this can be sustained. But it is an allusion, and all allusions are eventually exposed, like the wizard behind the curtain in the story “Wizard of Oz” (a parody of this evil debt based system).

20 Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her.

Revelation 18:20

God sees the big picture through all time (Isaiah 46:10). Here the prophecy tells us that the Lord has (past tense) avenged all the apostles and prophets who were killed by the synagogue of Satan.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Revelation 18:21

The millstone here is a metaphor for the judgment of Jesus Christ the synagogue of Satan for their evil works, and Babylon the great is destroyed. Compare with Daniel 2:34,35,44,45. Next is God’s New Heaven and New Earth.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in you; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in you; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in you;

Revelation 18:22

Ezekiel 26:13 gives us meaning to this passage.

And I will cause the noise of your songs to cease, and the sound of your harps shall be no more heard.

Ezekiel 26:13

Because of God’s wrath being executed at this time all these activities have ceased. The millstone has stopped milling. So labour has ceased. The earthly system of labour and commerce as come to a halt.

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you: for your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries were all nations deceived.

Revelation 18:23

All joy and merriment has ceased as God’s judgments fall, and the Bride of Christ is caught away to her Husband at the resurrection. The merchants, the great men, the global oligarchs of the WEF used sorceries to deceive the world. The Greek word “pharmakia” is translated “sorceries” here. The world has just gone through the biggest sorcery in history, with the engineered pandemic and the COVID bioweapon gene-altering shots. It is estimated that 6 billion of the earth’s population have taken them. The nations were deceived and many still seem to be under the spell of the globalist merchants.

24 And in her [the whore, the synagogue of Satan] was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Revelation 18:24

This includes the prophets and saints of the past, the present and the future. Only Christ and His Word has the truth and that now is starting to be prohibited and banned. To stand for the truth of God’s word may cost you your life. It does not seem implausible now.

The good news is that salvation is from the Lord.

Jesus says to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me.

John 14:6
