A subscriber wrote to me to share her frustrations with Creation Ministries International (CMI) as she tried to communicate her concerns in regards to the COVID bioweapon shots. She said that even the tone of the initial response was condescending and almost arrogant or indifferent to her concerns.
She wrote:
I am happy for you to publish these letters. My wish is for CMI to apologise for their misinformation regarding the vaccines, and to continue with what they do best….their magazines are great!
I’m sure a lot of the staff would not be happy with what was being published by CMI regarding vaccines…but they also did not stand up against it!! We need more courageous Christians!!

Thank you Shaun for your email. Unfortunately the updates to the “vaccine” article by Jonathan Safarti do not give me any more confidence in the ministries take on the whole Covid-19 and vaccine issue. Until I see some acknowledgement of the bigger Agenda behind all this I will remain sceptical of your understanding of this issue. Why are children, who are not at any significant risk of Covid, being vaccinated by a poison that has significant side-effects? The vaccines are not effective….why are they mandated??? You believe Covid death figures but are sceptical of vaccine deaths and injuries….why?? Do you actually believe the government has our best interests at heart??that there is no corruption??that big Pharma, big Tech and the MSM are all honest and taking care of our health??? So many questions, but so far CMI have given us the same information we can find anywhere….the information that is not censored because it agrees with the “narrative”….with WHO, WEF, UN and all the other globalist organisations. They want the world vaccinated….they want a Great Reset…they want digital vaccine passports….they want to track and trace us….a social credit system….a cashless society…this is Satan’s agenda! The vaccines are not for our health. Even Dr Robert Malone who invented the mRNA technology has said the vaccine rollout must stop…especially for children!

Thanks for your response. Again, I want to thank you for your support over the last 25 years. It is a blessing to have such support.
So, I wonder why it is that you don’t seem to trust us now, though you have for so long. Are we shills for MSM, governments, and big pharma? We benefit nothing from their influence. After all, we’re still biblical creationists. We’re still pariahs to the academic establishment. Our stance on COVID hasn’t changed this one bit.
Instead, we’ve angered a lot of our supporters. I know this because I see all the letters that come through our website of people withdrawing their support from CMI because of this issue. They vastly outweigh messages of encouragement on our handling of matters COVID. (Which is not to say that most supporters are angry at our stance; typically only the most vocal (or disgruntled) write in.) Many seem to think that we’ve ‘betrayed our tribe’ by taking a pro-vax stance (which is not the same thing as a pro-mandate stance; more on that below).

So, let met address your specific questions:
“vaccine” article
We don’t know of any vaccines-in-scare quotes. [JGH: Very condescending!] We know of real vaccines, which are defined as any biological product that trains the adaptive immune system to fight a pathogen. The term is defined by function not composition, and can include cowpox material (the original vaccine, from Latin vacca = cow), dead or weakened viruses, modified toxins called toxoids (tetanus and diphtheria), parts of germs (acellular pertussis), protein or carbohydrate subunits (Pneumococcus). BTW, the Chinese Covid vaccines are made more traditionally, but are just not as good as the RNA vaccines.
Why are children, who are not at any significant risk of Covid, being vaccinated by a poison that has significant side-effects?
Clearly, if we thought the vaccines were unsafe and ineffective, we wouldn’t advocate for kids to be vaccinated. But we think they’re safe and effective. Dr Sarfati’s article shows why, as does Dr Carter’s article https://creation.com/rna-vaccines. So, why advocate for child vaccination, even though they’re at much less risk from Covid than others? Well, if there was a safe and effective vaccine for cancer, would you refuse your children the vaccine because their risk of cancer is relatively low? Unlikely. Getting children vaccinated is the right thing to do because they are at far greater risk of significant, long-lasting side effects from getting COVID if they’re unvaccinated than they are if they’re vaccinated. And it’s almost certain they will eventually get COVID—it’s not going away any time soon.
A simple question ¨if you think the child’s immune system can handle a fast-multiplying RNA virus in the lungs, right next to the heart and major blood vessels, why do you think it would be troubled by a non-multiplying RNA vaccine in the shoulder, away from major blood vessels?
[JGH: The Japanese Pfizer biodistribution study found the lipid nanoparticles migrate everywhere in the body. They do not stay in the muscle. They particularly accumulate in the heart, ovaries and testes.]
The vaccines are not effective….why are they mandated???
We never said we support vaccine (or mask) mandates. We stay out of the politics of the situation because it’s not our area of expertise.
[JGH: CMI recommending a EUA product to be injected without long term safety trials because the government says to do it is not staying out of politics. It is burying your head in the sand.]
And as Dr Sarfati pointed out: “one can both oppose government mandates and support voluntary vaccination as the right thing to do.”
[JGH: The mandates forced people to take the toxic shots which is not voluntary at all.]

Correlation does not equal causation. Yes, there’s a lot being reported in VAERS, but the adverse effects being reported are reported following a vaccination, not necessary because they are caused by a vaccination. We can’t determine that from the raw VAERS data; it has to be analyzed to sort out any causative signals from the noise. And, as it turns out, almost all of the adverse reports do not show a higher prevalence of the conditions reported among the vaccinated compared to the vaccinated. And the ones that have shown a significant spike in adverse affects for the vaccinated compared to the unvaccinated have been widely reported. Irrelevant. We don’t advocate for vaccination because our governments are forcing us to. The evidence supports the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. COVID is highly transmissible and a real threat to life and health. Therefore, absent a good reason not to, people should get vaccinated.

We don’t have to believe in them to believe the evidence.
But this is your biggest issue: “Until I see some acknowledgement of the bigger Agenda behind all this I will remain sceptical of your understanding of this issue.” This is where the fundamental impasse seems to be happening. We can’t do that, for two reasons. First, we remain as apolitical as we can. Second, we reject conspiracy theorizing: https://creation.com/cmi-rejects-conspiracy-theory. These factors have long been a part of who we are as a ministry.
[JGH: What about the declared agenda to depopulate the world? That is a fact. The Club of Rome have published books on this. At their meetings they openly state their plan. It is not conspiracy theory but fact.]
Let me be clear. You are perfectly right to question the safety and efficacy of the vaccines. You are perfectly reasonable to ask questions about the links between the pharmaceutical companies and the governmental approvement bodies. You are perfectly reasonable to question vaccine and mask mandates, lockdowns, and other governmental policies. You should be concerned about the impingement of our freedoms. All of these are legitimate issues to be concerned about. But, we have investigated these things and reported on them in respects relevant to our mandate. And we freely admit that as a ministry we are not equipped to give you advice on all these issues—especially the political matters. But on the issues relating to the science and morality of the matter, we do have some relevant expertise and experience to comment. And our advice is:
- The evidence supports the safety and efficacy of the vaccines.
- COVID is highly transmissible and a real threat to life and health.
- Therefore, absent a good reason not to, people should get vaccinated.
We also note that you have overlooked what Dr Sarfati pointed out: why would you think that anti-vaxers, Big Alternative Medicine, Big Essential Oil, Big Supplementia, are not also affected by the Fall? [JGH: More condescension.]
Leading anti-vaxers like Mercola have their own agenda: getting rich on unproven supplements, which are really Big Placebo. Other anti-vaxers like Geert Vanden Bossche have a Lamarckian evolutionary agenda: somehow selection pressure from vaccine-induced immunity (but why not disease-recovery immunity) creates variants. You should know from CMI materials that natural selection is survival of the fittest and doesn’t explain the arrival of the fittest.
Even Dr Robert Malone who invented the mRNA technology
No he didn’t. RNA vaccines are the result of hundreds of scientists working for decades. Malone made a minor contribution 30 years ago, transfection of a luciferase-coding RNA, then dropped out of the field. Many things needed to be changed before RNA vaccine technology could work, such as the right nanoparticle and modification of the RNA, and Malone didn’t do them. Many scientists made much greater contributions, especially Drew Weissman and Katalin Karikó, and they support the vaccines, So why believe one outlier over many people with greater contributions who disagree?
the vaccine rollout must stop
At what cost? How many more deaths and long-haul suffering are acceptable? Now we know that people who survive a serious attack have more chance of permanent lung damage and higher risk of heart problems. As usual, this is all documented in creation.com/vaccines, which is frequently updated.
So, I would invite you to consider what we have to say, considering the good faith we had built up with you over more than two decades. We haven’t changed. We are the same ministry you’ve always trusted and supported to give you well-researched and trustworthy information on the intersection between science and Scripture. We’re not trying to deceive you. Our commitment to Christ, the Gospel, and Scripture is as it has always been. And it is our motivation even on matters COVID.

When I presented a discussion on the fetal cells used in vaccines to CMI and documented it with many references they refused to publish it or even respond to my points. Such is their eagerness to openly discuss the issues.
She also received this letter from the Australian CEO but is unsure of when that was. It is undated.
There is a lot wrong with the truth claims in this letter. But let me address a big one.
Ross Peeters states there “The vaccines have been clinically shown to be safe and effective”. This is one of the big Pharma talking points. But it is a bare-faced lie.
How could that be true when no long-term safety study has ever been performed on any vaccine ever. That is, with a saline placebo in a controlled study. Covid-19 mRNA vaccine safety trials were only 2 months long. I don’t know if the Placebo was saline, or another vaccine as is common practice.
Lawyer Aaron Siri using American Freedom of Information laws forced the CDC to reveal this fact via court order. Read his report to the US Congress (July 2024).
The following chart compares the pivotal trials for Pfizer and Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccines with those for FDA licensed vaccines that CDC recommends be injected (three times each) between birth and six months of age:[1]
Ironically he writes “The pivotal trials relied upon to license Covid-19 vaccines were robust as compared to the trials relied upon to license most childhood vaccines.” The childhood vaccines were tested against another vaccine in safety trials that lasted of order 5 days. But he wrote that Covid-19 vaccine safety trials “were anemic as compared to trials for most drugs.” And he listed the example for Pfizer.
The table below (left) lists Pfizer’s top five selling products, according to one publication.[6] The four drugs listed were each licensed based on a long-term placebo-controlled trial – the one vaccine listed, Prevnar 13, was not.[7] The table below (right) again lists FDA licensed vaccines CDC recommends be injected (three times each) between birth and six months.[8]
Clinical trials are critical for assuring safety. After a vaccine is licensed, it is considered unethical to conduct a placebo-controlled trial. Yet, while drugs are typically licensed based on long-term placebo-controlled trials, this is not true of FDA licensed vaccines on CDC’s childhood schedule.[9] (It is also noted that when another vaccine was used as a control, that “control” vaccine was also not licensed based on a long-term placebo-controlled trial.[10])
This provides further context for the trials relied upon to license Covid-19 vaccines. While these trials were robust when compared to other vaccines, they are anemic when compared to trials relied upon to license drug products.
Economic interests that incentivize a company to assure the safety of its product before release into the market are absent for vaccine products.
Trials for drugs and vaccines are conducted by the pharmaceutical company seeking licensure. For drug products, companies remain liable for injuries the drugs cause after licensure. This provides an incentive to conduct long-term placebo-controlled trials to confirm the safety of drug products before licensure to avoid financial loss after licensure.
In contrast, for vaccine products, this economic incentive was eliminated by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 (the “1986 Act”) which gave companies immunity for injuries caused by most vaccines.[11] This is why long-term placebo-controlled trials for vaccine products do not make financial sense for companies seeking to maximize profits. In fact, while assuring safety in drug trials is aligned with a company’s economic interest, it is in conflict in vaccine trials.
Siri also wrote:
This statistical comparison approach was used when comparing symptomatic cases in the experimental group (8 cases) and placebo group (162 cases) in Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine trial to arrive at a 95% efficacy figure.[28] (It is noted there were 3,410 suspected but unconfirmed cases not included in this analysis, the impact of which remains unknown.[29]) However, when it came to deaths in the trial, the statistical comparison approach was abandoned and instead each death was judged subjectively.
In July 2021, Pfizer’s published study reported 15 deaths in the vaccinated group and 14 in the placebo group (including 9 cardiovascular deaths in the vaccinated group versus 5 cardiovascular related deaths in the placebo group).[30] In November 2021, FDA’s published report of Pfizer’s trial stated that “there were a total of 38 deaths, 21 in the COMIRNATY [Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine] group and 17 in the placebo group. None of the deaths were considered related to vaccination.”[31]

Efficacy is another whole issue. Studies have shown that after 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna COVID mRNA vaccines the efficacy turns negative, i.e. enhances the disease. So to counteract that the patient must commit to lifelong 6 monthly boosters. Sounds like the case of influenza. Well probably because it is influenza. In 2020-21 influenza some how disappeared from the world! Why? Was it rebadged as COVID-19? Or was it a bio-engineered weapon from Wuhan labs? And most likely long-haul COVID, as they call it, is, in fact, a product of the toxic shots.
No credit is given to the innate immune system that showed a higher than 50% immunity after natural infection. And that level of immunity is about the best you’d get from a vaccine booster. But without all the potential vaccines harms.

Regarding COVID vaccines, you may have noticed that CMI has published nothing for some time. Near the start of the whole crisis, CMI received so many requests for CMI to explain the science behind the new mRNA vaccines that some of my US colleagues decided to write something. Dr Rob Carter’s article was long and informative; I don’t think much would be changed in the article itself. I have to say, however, that the incredible number of comments received (representing many opinions) opened a can of worms.
In January 2021, during a face-to-face meeting of the CEOs from all CMI offices, one of the many items on our agenda was this issue of COVID vaccines, and CMI’s stance. I was one of those concerned that CMI was in danger of being perceived as giving medical advice—something we clearly should avoid doing. All were in agreement. And since that time, we have added no further articles or podcasts to our website on the subject.
[JGH: But they still gave medical advice to my subscriber, based on the date of the email from Shaun Doyle, in February 2022, which was after their January 2021 decision.]
This doesn’t represent a change CMI’s overall position on vaccines per se, however, which remains as follows:
Vaccination of minors, in most jurisdictions, remains a parent’s choice. Vaccination of adults remains their own choice. While there are real and immediate risks associated with vaccination, these are small overall, and the long-term risks of non-vaccination are much greater.
In fact, we urge people to consult their own doctors regarding any decision involving their own or their family’s health; none of this article [referring to creation.com/cmi-vaccination] should be construed as individual-specific medical advice.
Obviously, what individuals choose to do regarding vaccinations generally (COVID included) will depend on a whole variety of factors. Among CMI’s staff worldwide, many had the vaccine, but I know that there were those who chose not to. In my mind, the landscape has changed in the last few years. Talk of ‘vaccine injury’ is not as taboo as it was during the height of the pandemic. I, for one, am always concerned if any point of view is prevented from being given an airing. And this certainly happened during the pandemic, in most western countries.
[JGH: Why would an open discussion of the science of vaccines and the vaccine harms be censored (taboo) by CMI if they are genuine about freedom of scientific enquiry and reporting? I tried to present an alternative view and could not get my foot in the door.]
I take off my CMI hat to say the following (in blue), because it’s really outside our ministry mandate of creation apologetics: In my opinion, and based on extensive reading, a climate of fear was instilled in the populace (in order to get us to conform to all sorts of rules) by the politicians and the media—and it went far beyond what was justifiable.
[JGH: Those “rules” were almost solely aimed at getting people to take the COVID shots. But numerous reports have surfaced that congressmen, politicians, judges and elites were given saline or exempt entirely from the shots. Why was that if they were so safe?]
Scientific debate requires open and honest discussion. Frankly, I have little confidence in the secular media in this regard, whether it is discussions of the issue in question, origins, moral issues (transgender rights for example) and so much more.
Regarding COVID vaccines, there are many opinions, many published papers, many experts, and much disagreement. CMI did enter the fray during the COVID-19 pandemic. But as indicated above, we realise the danger of CMI being perceived as giving medical opinion or advice.
[JGH: But Sarfati continues to push for COVID vaccination. He gave it an enquirer on 20 March 2025. Isn’t that medical advice?]
Trust me, having spent nine years in cancer research, specifically investigating drug treatments, this is not an area about which I am disinterested, or am ignorant about. Nevertheless, my remit, and that of my colleagues, is creation apologetics—and we do well to stick to this.
I am sorry if my answers may not be as conclusive as you might wish but that is my final word on the matter.
