Chapter 8 follows on from chapter 7. So you should read my post on chapter 7 before reading this one.

I use the eschatological scheme known as historical: spiritual . Under this scheme we allow the Holy Spirit to interpret for us (with reference to other scriptures) what the prophesy means to us today. If the scriptures are for us all then we need to believe that God wrote them to us all whatever era we live in. 1 John 2:27

Below I reproduce the verses of Revelation chapter 8, with my comments following.

Chapter 8 starts with the opening of the Seventh Seal.

And when He had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven about the space of half an hour.

Revelation 8:1

This is an interesting verse. How can there be silence in heaven for the a period of half an hour when there is no time in heaven?

And swore by Him that lives for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Revelation 10:6

Time is part of the spacetime continuum that we live under but when the Lord returns and resurrects the believers He suspends time as we know it. God currently lives outside of this 4 dimensional spacetime world that we live in. He is not bound by time, in fact, He sees time very differently to us.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

2 Peter 3:8

This is a way of saying God is not limited in time in anyway. He sees things done already that in our time-bound world have not yet happened.

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure:

Isaiah 46:10

This means that only God can predict (tell) the future before it happens in time for us. In God’s frame of reference it is not a prediction because He has already seen it happen. Whatever God has planned will come to pass, because He does whatever He wishes to do. If it is His desire it is already done in our world as He sees it. There is no delay in His plans happening. The events happen exactly and on time as He has planned them. God sees them happening in our future and there is no variation; there cannot be.

So can I suggest that the expression in verse 1 “… there was silence in Heaven about the space of half an hour” means that if it occurred in our timeline, it would be a significant pause as the 7th Seal is opened. In eternity it was completed as soon as God desired this event to happen. So to emphasize its importance it is given language that humans might understand. This is because every event here is seen through the Apostle John’s eyes.

However, there is no time in heaven, everything is already finished. It is a fait accompli. It is all done and dusted. The biggest problem we face, even describing this state, is using our language which is couched in time. So how do you describe the eternal state without time?

In my research career I have built ultra-stable clocks; clocks that would gain or lose a second in 100 million years. But in heaven there is no need for such devices. The concept of the end of time gives real meaning to ‘eternal life’. It is very difficult to describe because our language is not constructed to speak of such an eternal state.

The important point here is that there can be no delay or pause in God executing His will. The seven trumpets follow.

2 And I saw the seven angels who stood before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.

Revelation 8:2

Each of these trumpets will herald an important event. Seven is God’s number for completeness. When the seventh has sounded it will be complete.

And the seventh angel sounded [his trumpet]; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 11:15

The Lord takes possession of the earth as King. This is what the prophets called the Day of the Lord. It is finished! From this point on it is the eternal state in the New Heaven and the New Earth.

So back to the beginning of the blowing of the trumpets.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given to him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar, which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire from the altar, and cast it into the earth; and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Revelation 8:3-5

The prayers of the saints are seen in vision as incense in God’s throne room. God hears those prayers and responds with “voices and thunderings and lightnings, and an earthquake”. This is what we can expect in this current time as we approach the Last Days on earth. We expect supernatural voices, sounds from heaven, and lightning and earthquakes. It seems we are seeing all those things now. Strange sights in the sky are being reported; strange light effects and many earthquakes.

First Trumpet

6 And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and a third part of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

Revelation 8:6,7

God can work His judgments through the actions of man. He also uses supernatural actions which only He could do. This judgment of the burning of the grass and trees could be the result of man’s actions though geoengineering (See geoengineeringwatch.org). Even so it would still be God turning wicked man’s actions back on himself. Chemtrails have been poisoning the land resulting in trees dying by millions from this. Thus wild fires have raged in recent years and they are blamed on the man-made global warming hoax.

Nevertheless the vision of the grass and trees being destroyed is reminiscent of God’s action against the Egyptians (Exodus 10:12-15) when the Lord sent locusts to eat up all the green grass and trees of the land of Egypt “…and there remained not any green thing in the trees or in the herbs of the field through all the land of Egypt.”

Second Trumpet

8 And the second angel sounded and, as it were, a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and a third part of the sea became blood;

9 and a third part of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died, and a third part of the ships were destroyed.

Revelation 8:8,9

Probably most commentators are suggesting that this is describing an asteroid impact. The sizes of asteroids vary significantly, ranging from 1 m rocks to a dwarf planet almost 1000 km in diameter. The smaller ones if impacted the earth would be called meteorites and the biggest ones, well…we wouldn’t need to discuss because all life would be extinguished. But verse 9 indicates only partial death of all sea creatures and only a third of all ships. To me this seems less likely to be an asteroid or a big meteor.

In the past history of planet earth it was bombarded with meteors that formed large craters, some of which are so large that they can only be seen from space.

The Chicxulub crater is an impact crater buried underneath the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Its center is offshore, but the crater is named after the onshore community of Chicxulub Pueblo. It was formed slightly over 66 million years ago when a large asteroid, about ten kilometers in diameter, struck Earth.

Wikipedia

Evolution promoting Wikipedia says, what most scientists believe, that it hit 66 million years ago and led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. But that is unsubstantiated nonsense. The Earth was created only 6000 years ago and the dinosaurs died out with the global flood 4,500 years ago. A few survived the flood but they were eventually killed by man.

The Chicxulub crater is real enough and is estimated to be as much as 180 kilometers (110 miles) in diameter and 20 kilometers (12 miles) in depth. It is the second largest impact crater. The largest is the Vredefort impact structure in South Africa. The crater, which has since been eroded away, has been estimated at 170 kilometres (110 mi) to 300 km (190 mi) across when it was formed.

So if these craters were formed from 10 km diameter asteroids and the direct impact only affected an area of about 400 km diameter, then to get destruction of a third of all sea life in all oceans of the Earth you would need a planet-killing asteroid like a minor planet colliding with Earth.

I suggest the meaning of a third of the life in the sea dying and a third of the sea becoming blood is that it is describing the effect of this object in the area of impact. So what could it be? It sounds to me to be more like a volcanic eruption, a big one that spews lava (burning with fire) into the ocean killing a third of all marine life. Many toxic chemicals including sulphur come from volcanic eruptions. Earthquakes are associated with volcanic eruptions and with tsunamis. The resulting tsunami sinks a third of all ships in the area of its influence. This judgment of God is only partial, not complete like we see in Revelation 16:3. That is, the planet killing comes later in God’s final wrath poured out on Earth.

Volcanic eruptions and associated earthquakes are consistent with other warnings Jesus gave for the last days.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers [various] places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:11

Volcanos trigger earthquakes. The Yellowstone super-volcano could explode any time. But only God knows. Some describe it as a near planet killing event especially with the release of toxic gases.

Third Trumpet

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as if it were a lamp, and it fell upon a third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters;

11 and the name of the star is called Wormwood. And a third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

Revelation 8:10,11

This judgment sounds more like an asteroid impact than the previous one. As an asteroid or meteor comes through the atmosphere it burns as the elements are super heated and it glows white hot like fire.

The impact area might be significant but as stated above not complete over all the Earth as only one third of the rivers impacted and a third of the waters turned to Wormwood. Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a herb that can cause hallucinations and is a potential poison. It was banned in the United States for nearly a century, from 1912 until 2007, but now available. It gained notoriety from its use in absinthe, a French liqueur that was a favorite of many 19th-century artists, including Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh — and purported to cause numerous adverse effects. It is a poison in strong doses. Here we read “many men died”. It signifies a poisoning of the waters. Not all died but many.

My preferred interpretation is that the poisoning here is not from a extraterrestrial impact at all but the wording is symbolic language describing the mass murder of millions of humans with a poison like absinthe. The bioweapon toxins are in liquid form, which so far have been injected, but researchers are developing oral delivery to overcome vaccine “hesitancy”. What does this sound like to you? A great star fallen from heaven, symbolising Lucifer, the light bearer, bringing with him toxic shots!

We have just seen the mass injection of 6 billion people on Earth with a COVID bioweapon designed to kill over time. Now we see around the world SADS (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome); possibly millions dying. The COVID blog even claims 1 billion have already died.

This is consistent with a past judgment of God on the nation of Israel that followed after false demon gods of the Canaanites called Baal. The word cannibal is derived from those words.

13 And the Lord says, Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, neither walked therein;

14 But have walked after the imagination [stubbornness] of their own heart, and after Baalim [demon gods], which their fathers taught them:

15 Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall [poison] to drink.

Jeremiah 9:13-15

Gall means poison. God has used poisonous mRNA bioweapon shots to poison those who have not acknowledged Him and have not forsaken their own ways to follow Christ. 13.4 billion toxic shots given to the world so far. See Revelation 6: The White Horseman Brings Toxic Death Shots.

This brings us to the fourth angel with the fourth judgment on mankind.

Fourth Trumpet

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and a third part of the sun was smitten, and a third part of the moon and a third part of the stars, so that a third part of them was darkened; and a third of the day shone not, and the night likewise.

Revelation 8:12

This verse is inconsistent with something astronomically happening to the sun, the moon and stars. The sun cannot physically shut down its irradiant power levels by a factor of one third. If it were to somehow physically happen all life on Earth would die. But that is not indicated here. In verse 8:11 it could mean that as many as one third of all human life dies.

This verse 8:12 could however be related to the dimming of the sunlight from volcanic eruptions or from geoengineering by lunatics to reduce sunlight. The same factor of dimming would apply to all celestial objects as seen from the surface of the planet.

In the past God judged Israel cutting off two thirds of all people to save one third.

8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, says the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is My people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Zechariah 13:8-9

It looks like this time judgement is on all the world and one third die in the culling with Wormwood [poison]. In Revelation 6 under the 4 horsemen one quarter are killed (verse 6:8) with war, famine, disease and death from wild animals (bio engineered shots?). Those who do not die here are to pass through the fire of tribulation and trials to bring them to the Lord. If you take one third of the three quarters remaining from Revelation 6 you get only 50% surviving at this stage. Could that be correct?

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the other voices of the trumpets of the three other angels, which are yet to sound!

Revelation 8:13

There are three more angels yet to blow their trumpets but it must be pretty serious as three woes is triply bad.
